Misty Mountain is opposite of Rainbow Cliff. Mists hover year-round at this high altitude, mistaken by some to be thin clouds. Thin layers of snow cover the mountain, making some areas slippery and hazardous.

Some think it romantic, a place to bring their mates, while others come to play and romp. However, all must agree that there is some level of mystery and spookiness hovering about with the mists...

The Lady had been looking for Valkyrie for some time now. They had been travelling together for a little while now and got on fairly well, finding it better for two adults to stick together rather than go it alone. This was especially useful with Rex around; since travelling with Valkyrie she had gotten much healthier, being able to take down a lot more prey as a joint effort. The femme turned her head, brown eyes bordered by a beautiful sandy colour trying to peer further into the mist.

"Rex," she called out, her voice never reaching the level of shouting, "Come on honey, we need to keep moving." She turned the other way, eyes narrowed slightly as he head tilted slightly to the side. Her pup couldn’t have gone far, but in what direction was the question.

Rex had to hold his breath to keep from giggling, his black mass blending in perfectly with the dark shadows cast by huge trees. He buried his tiny nose into the damp leaves, snuffling at all the interesting scents that all the time in the world wouldn’t help him investigate. Unfortunately that made him noticeable to his more collected more, who delicately stepped behind him as a call rang out from nearby. "Come on, my son, Valkyrie is calling for us," she picked him up by the scruff as he let out a startled yelp, making sure he was securely carried by her before he could try to get away again.

She made quick work of the short distance to Valkyrie, coming out of the trees to where she stood near the edge of the cliff. Putting Rex down, and remembering to place a paw on him to try and stop his struggling, she opened her maw, "My friend, it seems like a while since we’ve seen one another, despite only being a couple of days." Rex’s struggling grew louder as he barked and mewled, trying to roll over to crawl out of his mother’s hold, wanting to escape before saying hello.
