At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

AZA - STEP BACK; THINK

Paws of many wonderful colours traced the waterline of a lake; she took in the way it caressed around her pads gently. She sighed softly, still glaring down at her paws – there were many packs she could join who would welcome her with open paws but she felt too tired… She was too tired to even attempt to find her perfect pack – the gentle ripples of water felt more settling to her than some unknown area. Of course it was essential to find a pack soon what with winter beckoning closer and closer. But for now the muscular lady would thrive in the rich bliss of peace. She had hovered over the prey plateau, watching intently as packs fumbled around to hunt down deer – she had felt so happy but had had the yearning to jump right in there and bring the deer to an early grave. But alas the girl would probably have been hunted, she would need to search for a pack and prove herself before she joined in anything. She wanted to be a beta or at least have some sort of ranking – she wanted to be depended on and needed. She did not know how though.
Her pack had been dependent on her; sure she had never had the highest order but Aza had been one of the essential roles in a hunt, she had never been lithe but it was mainly her muscular bodice that helped. And being one of the strongest she had put herself forward to bear pups – of course she had no connection nor love for these creatures as they were raised to think that their mother was the alpha. She didn’t care though – that her own flesh and blood did not take into consideration that she was their mum; in fact it was more of an honour than an insult. Besides, she had no desire or drive to have pups, her life would be devoted to her pack – whatever pack that would be and whatever time that would be. Of course, she would have loved companionship one day – who wouldn’t like to be loved? It was a natural feeling and Aza understood that but she felt no need to rush things, after all she had all the time in the world to waste. Her rusty eyes settled upon the distance of the water line. It was far away, like many dreams…

Her dark eyes scanned around, though she had been alone for many moons, Aza felt the need for company; she hadn’t encountered any one for a long period of time and felt rather alone. Even fighting would bring her enjoyment or at least some sort of entertainment, even if it was for a short period of time. She wanted some sort of sign that her life was in fact moving forward instead of balancing on the even water of a small river: totally secure with no danger. And wasn’t life all about living? After all she wasn’t one for sitting down and doing nothing. Her eyes followed the figures of the wolves, some alone and some conversing in conversations. She knew most of them would not mind allowing her to join but she was too shy, even if she wasn’t like that completely.
Her body swerved and jumped off into the water with a small and pup-like yip. She relished in her sweet and tender water that seemed to calm her aches and drown her sorrow. She sighed woefully, wondering how long before some wolf came along- she herself was too nervous to make the first daring, dare-devil move.
