At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

Her weight against me makes me feel complete, alive, of use to someone for the first time in my life. This moment was lomg overdue and I wish I could take back the last several months to spend them with her rather than alone, perhaps then we would be so much closer. I know i'm asking too much and i'm thankful she doesn't hate me for leaving, perhaps insisting I abandoned her when in reality leaving her was the hardest thing I ever had to do. I fight the uge to kiss her, caress her when she is this close to me and instead I focus on the clear blue image infront of us left untouched by the joys of youn pups that were situated on the other side of the lake. I breath before stepping forward, guiding the princess alongside me as I go. Shuffling nerves aside, I tell her to close her eyes and she trusts me enough to do just that. I feel emotion swell in my chest, just to know she trusts me after all this time. Moments later we're entering the chilly yet sootheing depths of the lake, disturbing the peace with shaky limbs that proceed to indulge further and further within its weightless existance. Next I tell her to think back to our younger years, the days we were kids wanting to give her something to focus on, something positive. I feel her body stiffen against me and inside i'm begging her not to run away, not to lose courage after she's come this far. To my surprise she places her chin on my shoulder and tells me she trusts me and I shudder in pleasure, overwhelmed by a sudden need and longing to protect this girl next to me and Tor knew I would. When the water reaches our necks I knew we would soon be leaving safety of the surface and that's when she would no doubt panic most. I considered the worst case scenario yet I knew if she was to go under I would save her without question, that would only delay concquering the experience at most. I shift further, this time lifting my paws from the ground after giving myself a push that carried me further in to the water leaving nothing to support my legs. "Just like we were running, Nova. Lift your front legs and paddle while kicking back with your back legs. Now.. Open your eyes.." I stay calm knowing if I tense so will she and this will go terribly wrong. I wait for her limbs to shift accordingly before gently kicking my way to the side letting her do this alone, giving her the space she needs to get used to the movement. Brown eyes peer in to hers if and when they finally open, exposing the love I had for her all in one glimpse. I questioned silently how anyone could be so beautiful while on the other hand I questioned how I could ever be so lucky as to win the heart of a girl like her.  |
