The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

Although she was a complete twit, Truffle could see when something was going on with Abendrot. There were wounded wolves everywhere, especially her Alpha himself. Now that she was slightly maturing, Cocoa was quicker to act than usual. No more time for frolicking in the fields, no more importance to chasing the butterflies. Her companions were Mr. Snake--yes, he was still there--and Rue, if she still loved her. The chocolate girl slunk toward her camp, having been gone for a while. She had been thinking, meditating as one would say. She came from time to time; unnoticed, undetected, and over all ignored. Not now, though. She would reveal herself as the almost-teen she was, a bit more mature, but not enough to stop being the crazy fluffernutter that she is. <3 Because everyone loves crazy fluffernutters, right?

There were a few different things to the girl, other than her unpredictable personality. Her coat used to be the purest of milk chocolates, but now it was taking a darker shade. Her eyes that used to be a blue full of innocence now flashed dangerously as she passed by. Anyone who knew her before didn't know her now; Abendrot had gotten into her heart and had somewhat damaged it. Poor Truffle, now she wasn't much of herself anymore. She knew about life and death, time and place..sanity and corruption. Now, the girl was wiser, yet tenser--waiting for the unthinkable to happen. Casted into darkness, that was all she could think about; if she could think at all. The she was mostly plagued with nightmares, and it was hard to sleep--let alone think--in the weeks that she was gone. Now, the devilish side of her had an idea that the sweet, stupid side didn't like. She waited patiently for Kershov, with a smile on her face that was anything but sweet.

OOC: Oh mah gawsh! She went two whole paragraphs without talking! XDD
