Niaki ran across the river bank, her long tail whisking behind her frame. The yound snow leopard fem was racing her brother, Renzo to the aspen tree 200 yards ahead of them. Her silver eyes never left the tree, and her skidding paws sent dust and pebbles flying. The spotted fem was winning by about 10 feet, Renzo knew his sister was faster, but liked the feeling of wind through his thick fur. "C'mon slow-poke!" Niaki called as she flew past the tree and slid to an ungraceful stop. She let a toothy smile glue itself to her maw, she was usually in a happy-go-lucky mood. She made friends easy and was always laughing for the most part.

Renzo stopped running when his smaller sibling bounded past the finish line. His blue eyes glimmered with faint amusement as she failed to complete a good stop. Instead, he witnessed her slip and slide on the soft grass. His tail was low to the ground with the underside curled up, signing to any passing animal that he wasn't hunting. He padded up to his sister and rubbed his cheek against hers in an affectionate way. He loved his sister with all his heart, and would fight to his last breath to protect her. "How about we go for a swim?" He mewed teasingly, Niaki hated swimming. Renzo's brow creased as he waited for her shocked reply.

"No!" She spat playfully. Silver eyes widdening in horror as Renzo abruptly shoved Niaki into the freezing river. He busted out laughing as she flailed her legs out in the two foot deep water. She thought she was drowning, so her brother helped out by calling, "Stand up." Niaki looked at him as she rose to paws and realized the river moved easily past her ankles.
