Shard had been lonely ever since he could remember. Sometimes he longed for more attention or friendship but mainly he just lived life as it came. Today was different. He was going to try and get a mate.
Under his black coat the fibres of the muscles moved sending him across the river at quite a speed.
He slowed down as saw a red fea.
She was extremely beautiful and in that second Shard found himself walking towards her. Shard was a handsome wolf with his mysterious grey eyes and black pelt and he hoped that he would be able to gain her attention before any other wolf.
"Hello, I am Shard," I said with a wide smile across my face.
