Mystral had been about to discuss the idea with Muse, but found herself rather fascinated by the exchange going on between the to leopards. Muse really knew how to wrap the young ladies around his talons. For all the wishy-washiness he portrayed, she had to be proud of him for getting the job done.
But telling him so aloud wouldn't exactly add support to the bond that silly snow leopard thought she had with him.
If she played at being against Muse, at presuming that what he'd proposed to her was a lie, than she could strengthen the trust Niaki had in him and perhaps even add confliction to Renzo's stand. Mystral was as much a servant of their union as Muse was. It was weakness to disagree on anything in public, but the rules were different if a false disagreement crafted a future victory.
As far as Mystral knew, it would be false. She had faith in her brother's loyalty. He'd not betray her...
So she acted as if he had.
"You think me fool, little brother?" Nevermind the fact that he was physically larger than her. She leaned away from Muse and spoke through a snarl. "Always too soft. You liiiike the pretty spotted kitty. You want her close, but not to eat. So be it. You'll lose her in the end."
Muse circled around his sister, placing himself between her and the leopards and watching her carefully. Both of them were, for the moment, pretending to ignore Renzo and Niaki. Actors did not acknowledge their audience.
"You'll let her stay?"
He knew his sister's rules. She'd never argue with him in front of others. Either this was an act and she believed his initial presentation, or things had gone very, very wrong. All he could really do was hope for the former and keep playing the game. Replies: There have been no replies.
