Traydon River

This river is famously known for its fish!

You treat me just like another stranger..

My ears slicked back against my skull, I bunch up into the hunter's crouch. My optics narrow; there it is. Right there. Just sitting, minding its own business. Why do I have to hunt it? It's stupid that predators have to kill so they can eat. Okay, we don't have to actually kill to have our fill, but it wouldn't taste so good without some blood... Again, I descend into rhymes. What is wrong with me? It's either riddles or rhymes. They just fascinate me. I dunno why. Maybe it's because I keep hearing them whispered into my ears, even yelled sometimes. It's like someone's angry with me, trying to tell me why they are angry with poems and riddles. But why?!

I guess that's just a question I won't ever be able to answer.

Nevertheless, I still enjoy my life. Especially being alone now. May sound crazy, but I left home at the start of my four months. I'm now almost five. I love the adrenaline of having to survive on my own, all the adventures, big and small, that travel my way. I adore life. Luckily, I'm still young, so I won't die soon... Well, that could easily be changed, especially so with my lifestyle now.

My body streaks across the ground, just a black-and-white blur of fur, and my paws pound. I only notice later as I am coming to Traydon River that I think of rhymes more often that I realise. It can't be healthy can it? Well, it can go two ways. Improve my knowledge, or creatures may think I'm some sort of psycho. I'm not, I know I'm not, but maybe you can class me crazy, or just very, very daring. I haven't really found many things that compare to where I've travelled from on these lands in terms of danger, but I still like it here better than where I was born. Partly because I know my family probably won't find me here.

I skid to halt as a massive glowing figure and another wolf come into view. They're examining the river... Why on earth are they doing that? Raising my brows, I also lean over the river, but, not being that rich in knowledge of general happenings, even though I am very resourceful, I see nothing but fish swimming upstream... Maybe... Maybe that is why they are concerned. The glowing dragon doesn't scare me when I look up and realise it actually is a dragon, it just makes me even more curious. It dare to pad a few pawsteps closer, but flinch as a stick breaks under my paw. Ah well. Something new of interest.
