The Cavern of Secrets holds much more than you can imagine. Once a forbidden place, the ban on entrance has been released...yet, is it a good idea to enter?

Once a great battle had been fought in this cavern, against a dark beast that had once - and still might - dwell here. No one knows where he disappeared to, but there are rumours...

Long story short, she’d saved a life today. It was a strange thought for the thoughtful girl to process, and honestly, it was one she wouldn’t admit to her fellow Felicitans, or whatever you would call them. A family, however, was hardly that. A family for those who were related. Or… had caught her family member’s fancy. A disinterred smirk flattened itself upon the ess’s lips. Do not be mistaken. She is a physically sturdy Queen, whose name seemed to be extremely fit for her job. Queens. A wolf whom Kohaku both feared (to a certain extent) and admired all the same. Beautiful and dangerous… even though she had only exchanged words with her once, the vampress knew that her regal was one that, to her, could be considered quite the role model. Although not quite entirely, she was the mother figure Koh had lost. A mother for her pack. A mother that didn’t let shit be thrown in her direction without blood spilling on the ground soon afterwards. That sort of protection and guidance… it had managed to wipe itself off a bit on the pallid femme with a splotch of rust on her forehead. A splash of water in her face made her nonexpressive eyes dilate back to reality, but she did not react to the muddy water… rather, she kept pressing onward, a streak of ivory and orange against the dead ferns that were cloaked in white.

Kohaku had escaped the gratitude of the male of whom she rescued from the ice covered lake. And now, she was extra careful to make sure that her steps were in what little water flowed through the rivers and streams, to cover her perfume and make sure that he did not follow her. If there was one thing that the femme did not need today, it was a stalker. And that’s why she did that. Just in case. She’d maneuvered her way into the cavern of secrets… this was the place that her father and mother had met. Jeanne d’ Arc. A healer and a pacifist… and Scarface, a murderer and radical. An angel and a demon… their forbidden love could not have been more short. Once Fenrir and Kohaku’s mother gave birth to them, she stole Koh away and was never seen alive by the duo left behind again. Kohaku had returned after her mother’s unfortunate demise by killers and she’d found her family. Of course, her father was not willing to take her in… but as she gained permission from Malignant to enter their territory, it would seem that Queens’ protection over her filtered through both her sons. Kaizer, if she had recalled his name correctly, had shielded her (though he needn’t have done so) from her father’s fangs, which were more show than a weapon in her case… and Nikandros… well… Nikandros had followed her around like a lost puppy. Intruiged, perhaps. She was the only femme his age in the pack that she knew of. But, despite his charms, Kohaku was not in the least bit interested. There were better things to do than be seduced by manic vargs. At least… that’s what she told herself.

Her nares flared, acknowledging now that she was not the only one taking refuge from the cold in this cavern… though the chill inside seemed to be more foreboding than the cold weather outside. Ah—well, she was already in… now, going back to that scent. Her audettes swiveled and her golden orbs closed, her sense of hearing heightened, and she picked up on the soft scent of breathing. To her right? No… left. Fuck. The cavern sent sounds everywhere… and she was no bat. There was no way she was going to find her masked male here. She could smell him though, and that was the reason why she knew his gender. Males have a more… woodland scent than MOST femmes do. Crushed pine and earth. Kohaku could not say that hers was that of a flower in bloom, but she knew that if her brother smelled the same way she did, it was sweaty and earthy, tinged with the faintest traces of the metallic smell of fresh, running blood. Lithe pillars danced to the side, and she pushed her dial upwards her optics staying closed and she pressed her listeners to her crown. Her tassel flicked and she turned another way, her muscles rippling. Still, she only managed to find the estimated location of the demon. So now to use her eyes. Suns opened to the sinister world, pupils widening to find the proper amount of light that would deem her the ability to see in the dark. Claws raped the unsuspecting terra, making a distasteful noise as she twisted again, her skinny figure leading her towards the place where the shadows just weren’t correct.

Finally. She would have overlooked him if two things had been different. One: his shadow was out of place. If he was going to spy on others, he was going to have to learn how to press himself into his surroundings. Her breath was even as she slid towards his frame. Two: Had his eyes been shut, she very well may have just turned around and left. Kohaku was of the quiet, peaceful type who did not agree to much company for she did not understand entirely just how the varg’s mind worked… if one does not understand themselves, then (humor me) how are they supposed to understand others? A flash of orange had her gaze and she stopped mere inches from his crouched silhouette. A very unamused, quiet, and monotone voice escaped her ebon lined kissers, the white fur parting to reveal even whiter ivories that glistened in the reflected light of the caverns walls. A single syllable, breathless and useless word. Boo.
