At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

The last thing the lass remembered was the loving lick the lad had planted on her forehead. She recalled him telling her he couldn’t sleep but after that everything went black. She had wanted to stay up with Amatus and talk till the sun appeared on the horizon but to be honest she was just too tired. The lass drifted off in no time as she knew her knight in multi coloured armour would be watching over her.
- ‘Run... Run faster. He’ll catch us.’ A tiny wolf sprang through the forest as fast as her legs could carry her. A monster with blood red eyes was chasing her through the over grown forest and was easily catching up. The little ess was covered in blood but not her own. The blood on her pelt was of someone she cared dearly for and it was fresh. The femme could hear the footsteps of the monster, she could smell it. It was close too close... But ‘LOOK! There’s an opening. RUN.’ Her heart beat out of her chest. She turned to see the monster. Its claws unsheathed. It fangs bared. It readied itself, went to pounce. But wait... It didn’t get her. Something was standing in its way. A multi coloured figure was fighting the beast. Not a match for the figure the monster turned and ran in defeat. She was safe... For now. –
The lass woke panting frantically. Her heart beat out of her chest. She stood just about ready to run when a familiar scent was engulfed by her nares and she immedialty started to calm down. It was just a nightmare- an all too real nightmare at that. These nightmares were becoming more real each time and she was starting to have them more often as well. Although only she knew that these nightmares once happened, even if now they were a little more dramatic.
The lass sat down on her haunches. The sun was just beginning to rise from above the horizon sending splashes of pinks and oranges to wake the weary inhabitants of earth. As well as Amatus’ scent this calmed her down, her heart beginning to get back to its normal pace. She turned her body fully to face the sun rise, relishing in the first heat of the day. Although it wasn’t that warm yet.
Slowly but surely the lass was starting to get better. She was starting to fill out and her physical and mental state was beginning to get stronger. She wasn’t the wreck she was when Amatus had first found her; she wasn’t as cold and bitter either. Well not to him anyway. She hadn’t really encountered another wolf to see how she would react. But one thing she knew for certain was that she and Amatus would be joining a pack soon. Even if the male’s determination to join failed Yoki herself was now filled with that same determination. It may have been a weaker feeling but it was there and in time it would grow. That nightmare cemented the fact that she needed the safety of a pack. If her Dad was ever to show his face in Blossom, he would find her in no time and kill anybody who tried to stop him. Knowing Amatus as she did know, she knew that he would probably put up a fight and she didn’t want him to get hurt. He was her only friend.
“Good morning Amatus.” She smiled at the brute. “I’m ready for the day. No matter what it means I have to do, I am ready for it.” She paused. For a change she was feeling very strong today. “It’s best I join a pack sometime soon. I’m feeling particularly strong at the moment and I think this is the best time to join a pack. Hopefully I won’t freak out as much.” She giggled. It was funny to think that she could freak out in the company of other wolves but she knew how her emotions could change in the real life situation.
