Dear Members of Shaman,
It is that time again to elect our Senate! Enclosed in this letter is a ballot. Unlike last year, this year we will be doing things a little differently. On each ballot for each position offered in the senate you are allowed to elect two members of Shaman for one position. (For example: The Consul: Epos and Arthur - The Tribune: Mallos and Aura and so on an so forth.) You are allowed to elect the same members for each different position, so if you think Arthur is a good candidate for both Consul and Tribune you can you one of your votes for his name under each position. You cannot vote the same person twice (for example Mallos and Aura, not Mallos and Mallos)
- only two votes per character per position
- one character cannot vote for the same character twice for any single position
- you cannot vote for yourself
- characters under the age of 13 are prohibited from voting or being elected into the senate
- pirates are prohibited from voting since they are in no way connected to the affairs of the castle
You have 10 full days from today to get your ballots in, polls will close midnight GMT time. (deadline: Jan 11th, 2013)
If there are any ties we will have a 3 day mini election to break the ties. In the case that no one gets voted in and remaining senate will automatically get reelected for another term. The positions elegable are as follows…

The Consul is the head of the Senate and has the most political power. He can make proposals to the government.
The Praetor is the head of the judiciary and law courts. If someone has been caught breaking the law, it is the Praetor's task to organize a court of law. (In charge of the courtrooms)
The Aedile is the head priest: s/he has the power to marry two people together. This is a power shared by the King, the God and the Princeps.
The Tribune is the ambassador of the people. It is his job to ensure that the government is taking care of the people's best interests, by holding meetings with territory leaders and speaking to the people.
The Quaestor the head of law enforcement: s/he is in charge of catching law-breakers and bringing them to the Praetor. (in charge of the dungeons)
