NAME Vasyenka
AGE 2
GENDER male
EYE COLOR bright yellow, with silver/grey striations through them
APPEARANCE Broad across the chest, with lean powerful muscles covered by a thick, scruffy pelt, Vasyenka is rather striking in appearance, possessing an awkward kind of beauty. He has yet to lose the gangly look of youth, and still has a way to go before he fits into his skin comfortably. His coat is a mixture of soft creamy tan and white, with black along the bridge of his nose, along his back, and down his legs, fading out halfway down his tail. There are flecks of golden hairs all over his body, which catch the light better than his dominant colours. He’ll average around 105lbs, swinging from 100 to 110lbs as he sees in periods of scarcity and prosperity. He stands around 34in in height, and is 5.4ft in length.

PERSONALITY to be discovered
HISTORY A life for a life, that’s how Vasy believes the world works. His mother died and he lived. And then, his aunt was gone, and in the space she’d left behind, a dark, scruffy male, bringing with him another pup. The male sought out a nursing female and begged her to feed the pups til they were old enough to survive, and then after thanking her and promising to ever come to her aid if she should have need of him, he and the pups took off. The three of them have survived together, despite all odds and are very close to one another.
IMPRINTING ABILITY No. unable to imprint.

SAMPLE Kotik leads, and Khepri presses close to her left flank. By no means is the smaller, golden wolf weak (though, she acknowledges that she will never hold her own as well as Kotik, her warrior-guardian-sister, is able to) or afraid. For the lesser of the two had faith enough for them both. No, she follows because she is vulnerable. And while she is generally the more docile and approachable of the two, if cornered in her present state, she would prove to be more fierce and dangerous than her sister. After all she had a lot more to lose. A lot more to protect.

Something worth fighting for.

“Are we almost there, Kotik?” Khepri’s voice was weary, and as much as Kotik wanted to slow down, it would be better to rest when they’d met up again with the others. Safety in numbers, after all. And these days, safety was more important to Kotik than solitude. Besides, even htough she had always had Khepri (and Khepri had always had her) there was a loneliness that made her chest ache when she studied the expansive night sky, and ache that had become ever more persistent and refused to leave her be. “Yes. Count slowly in your head, Khep. I promise you can stop to rest when before you can reach thirteen.” So Khepri counted. And in her own head, Kotik counted too. Counted thirteen good memories, desires and reasons to fight and to live.

Every single one of them included Khepri.

And just as Kotik had promised, Khepri caught sight of a small group just as she whispered ‘twelve’. As one, the sisters slowed, and Khepri stood a moment longer, before sinking to the ground and lying down. The journey home had taken a lot more out of her than it had out of Kotik, and not just because she was smaller. The attack that had largely been the catalyst for them returning had left her with injuries, a few of which hadn’t fully healed. Even more than that, she carried a babe in her belly, and this drained her strength and energy, but she gladly gave it up.

Kotik stalked forwards, closing the distance between herself and the group, and keeping herself in front of Khepri. The black-male-stranger had just finished speaking, and Kotik had taken any of it in, for as always, her mind was concentrating on other things (such as whether Khepri would be alright for the few moments they were apart, or if there was danger lurking just out of sight and how she would react to it). The grey wolf halted, studying this stranger with an intensity she tried to hide. It was all she could do to keep herself from bristling. He reminded her strongly of the male that had attacked Khepri, the father of the litter Khepri carried. But when Kotik looked for them, she found many differences. For one, this wolf was not solid black, and neither were his eyes grey. And his battle scars… They were very different with the ones Kotik had given the monster who nearly killed her sister.

Forcing herself to stop being so paranoid, the grey wolf lowered her head, and then glanced towards Pompeii and Hawthorn, but said nothing. Being that she had missed the words that had been spoken, she decided it was best to remain silent for the moment, until everything was clear to her. She hovered there, with Khepri only several meters behind her, alert and ready to fall back and cover her sister. Her jaw clenched, ever so slightly, as she berated herself for being so suspicious. But if her suspicion paid off one day, and saved Khepri, then Kotik was willing to pay the price for it now, and every day until then. Still, at the back of her mind, something made her return those deep blue-purple eyes back to the dark male, who, by his bearing, Kotik guessed he was the Alpha of the packland they had entered. Something about the stranger was familiar, but she became frustrated when she couldn’t place it. It was almost like… She’d seen his face before, only, it was different. Younger, from another time. From a dream.

Or a half-forgotten memory.
