Misty Mountain is opposite of Rainbow Cliff. Mists hover year-round at this high altitude, mistaken by some to be thin clouds. Thin layers of snow cover the mountain, making some areas slippery and hazardous.

Some think it romantic, a place to bring their mates, while others come to play and romp. However, all must agree that there is some level of mystery and spookiness hovering about with the mists...

As the look in his eyes continued to be flirtatious and seductive, Raelynn just felt unsteady. It was so captivating, and she hated how well it was working on her. She made herself stand straight, made her jaw clench tightly, made her head stay straight rather than cocking to one side just to hear every little bit of that precious accent... no. Rae, focus! She shook herself, making her hackles bristle. He was just another brute that would attack her sooner or later anyway.

But as his words trailed off, she found that he wasn't like other brutes. Her eyes were wide and sparkling with a sickening fascination at the ordeal that happened next. A flash of gut-wreching fear passed over his gaze before he turned his eyes away. Raelynn glanced down at herself to make sure it wasn't her. Nothing she could see would cause a fear like that.

Then he went into a madness. Or a state that seemed similar to madness. His once flirtatious eyes opened revealing anger. Fiery, hot anger. He seemed to grow larger, basically twice the size he was, and Raelynn tucked in her tail as she shrank down. He turned around and walked toward her with a purpose. It scared her, and she knew better than to challenge him. She shrunk down more, tucking back her ears. But she didn't belly up and lick him. Nothing in her was that submissive.

He began speaking in English, but cut himself off with a scream that pierced through the storm. Rae stood up as he bolted a few paces off, calming down it seemed. He was taking deep breaths, and so was she. Her heart was racing, but it was quite the thrill. A smile spread across her face and she wagged her tail a little. That was kind of fun!

When he turned back, she prepared herself for more anger, but only got the same as the beginning. That calm, collected wolf. Her shoulders sagged a little as he approached her, speaking.

"Raelynn," she muttered her name. "Prefer Rae." The she remembered his other question. "Cold?" she reminded him.
