Hi, I live in Tinmouth, VT. I have seen several bobcats, a canadian lynx, and a catamount (cougar, mountain lion). All these sightings were in Danby, VT, the next town to Tinmouth. The catamount was the most surprising, it ran across Rt 7 in front of me as I was riding my motorcycle. With the tail, it took up almost one lane of the highway. It was just after dark and the animal appeared dark grey. I am a native Vermonter, and know my animals. Danby borders Mt Tabor National Forest, which is a large remote forest, and a great habitat for wildlife. Thank you for maintaining this board. Replies:
