Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

I found a love that can’t grow old!

Whatever inspired caution within Yojimbo did well to warn its host away from coming too terribly close to the distraut female. She barely made sense to herself anymore and the act of intruding on her new den would bring too many horrible memories to mind. She would remember that delightful riverbed den, the children who likely died within it, and the male who couldn’t keep himself from trespassing its boundaries.

Her leafy attire is shaken when he finds her, the little hitchhikers of the wood falling to the earth for the end of their journey with her. A small one, delicate ginko leaf, hooks itself fast - and only serves to seem an adornment when she whirls on the male who had quietly come upon her den making.

When she sees him, she freezes, paw lifted in a surprised pose - not sure if fight or flight was appropriate. He did not seem dangerous - but she knew that her brother could pick out many plants in the woods that were benign at first glance. She takes a small step forward, pearl eyes growing confused and concerned by his silence. She has long gotten accustomed to the way civilized wolves always had something to say and it threw her not to hear some sort of greeting or introduction as the looney civil wolves loved to give.

The second thing was his fixed eyes on her. Her inner heart screamed for her to step up, to throw her tail high - for even if there was no pack, she was on the hearth of her den and needed to defend her right to it. It might have been less of a confusion if he had spoken like any civil wolf she knew. But a wolf that did not speak could be a wild wolf like herself and if that were true, his fixed gaze was a challenge. She side steps and cocks her ears to the side.

She moans, fidgeting and waiting for him to make the first move in either case - friend or foe.
