Katana closed her eyes, trying to regain her composure. She nuzzled his shoulder, and began to speak in her normal, soft, yet serious tone. “There is something I must do.” She lifted her head from his shoulder and stared at the ground. “I have a friend, she’s a puppy, really. I was her mentor for many months. I left her to find a special someone, if you know what I mean, but I promised to come find her afterwards. I would be obliged to have your help on this quest, in fact, she insisted, but if you will not join me I will have to leave you to look for another partner…” She gazed into his eyes, awaiting an answer.
