So many thoughts, after years alone in the dense forest. Trying to do everything on my own and take care of myself. Always worried about my brother and… Heyel… It’s been too much for all of us. I know how painful the death of another can be. Sometimes conceal the pain just makes it worse. Things we want to say, for someone to listen… To show others that we do care and we are upset. I used to say something to Sulan when he tried to conceal his sadness… If you hold your tears, you will drown in your own sadness. I never held my tears. Just, nobody had ever seen me cry, but my mother. She was the only one who had ever seen me cry. Even the most strong shed tears.
When I slowly approached him, his bloody lips pulling into a grin. I allowed a warm smile to break through my lips. I am so happy to see him, finally alone. My Zen, he called me. After so long time, I keep my loyalty to him. Heyel had not only been a king for me, but a friend, my family. He had always been there for all of us and I could see he cares for us. I still remember that day off… Heyel and I had spent a day off together… I could think of myself for moments. My tail wagged behind me as I walked that day, my lips curled gently in a kind smile as I looked around in that day. It had been wonderful, just to have some time for myself.
Heyel sighed and spoke, I smiled. He complimented me.
- And you, just as handsome as before, - I replied. He invited me to share his meal and offered me a place at his side. I smiled again and worked my way up to his side. I laid next to him as his head lowered to tear another chunk of the rabbit.
With his paw, Heyel slid the rabbit towards me. I lowered my head and with my jaws I teared a small chunk of the rabbit. My mouth is small. My ears twisted as I heard his voice again, I looked at him with black lips stained red. He asked for an opinion. I tilted my head slightly for a second as I considered his question. Him? Unable to lead? Did he think he was too old to lead? Becoming older does not mean losing the power or the ability to lead! There are a few more cautions, but some years won’t stop a king to lead. Heyel is no longer a king right now. But just because he doesn’t own any lands right now.
- You are perfectly capable of leading again, Heyel. You are by far the best leader I have ever seen. The time for your children will come… I have faith in you. But it is still early for them. You have many, who will follow you, who believe in you. And you are just capable of leading them.
Heyel is very important for me and he is a great king. Nobody would ever be like him. Not even my brother. But I still stand by him in his every decision, for I love him. With my paw, I pushed the rabbit towards Heyel again and waited for him to take another bite. It would be very sad to lose such a leader. With a smile in my face, my green gaze searched for his again.
- Heyel, I would like you to know that… I will always stand by your side. You can count on me for everything, - I paused for a second before proceeding - I would like to… Be with you for some time, if you don’t mind.
My voice, as always, gentle and sweet. I just wanted to be with Heyel. So we could help each other, hang around together for some time. I have nowhere else to go and I have nobody else as well.
