Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Welcome to Hell

From somewhere deep within the decaying corpse of Fae, resided the blacken heart of a monster. With each shivering pump it sends congealed poison throughout her body. Filling her with the inky mess that dotted her eyes, the once pale pink bloody now with her wine. It is said that now in the pitch darkness her eyes glow in time to the diabolical beating of her dark organ. Flashing in and out like a beacon for weary travelers at sea. Come, come hither for she is waiting.

The hellhound of Moladion.

Even now as she stares, head twisted at an unnatural angle, mouth parted in a soft O she is beautiful. The way her twisted skin wrinkles around her left eye, the blacken flesh so twisted you could almost smell the rancid aroma of cooked skin. She wants. Oh she wants many many things, but as of late she has sought only one item in particular: destruction. She cares only for her garden. Like the one she keeps at her den. Little flowers she tends to, one of each color and size, red, black, white, grey, striped, dorsaled, masked…and many more. Each pup a delicate addition, in varying stages of decay and yet she licks them clean each morning, carefully removing the maggots as they eat out the eyes and wiggle within the carapace. It is a sight to see especially beneath the night’s full moon, oh they look lovely like they are alive and they are! They are her flowers and she their gardener but she needs more, larger additions. She will cultivate Moladion and grow festering flowers for all to enjoy. Yes, this she will do.

Far far behind she stalks, eyes peeled for her next rose. Never too far from Ruv for she is useful, she is like, and she brings them to her. She provides the hellhound with an endless supply of fodder to fuel her flame in and turn she warps her. Twisting her mind and allowing her to deny what she used to be, to see the righteousness of their plight. She speaks, Fae slinks. She distracts, Fae kills. She thinks and reasons where Fae is quick like a viper, not stopping until she is coated in her favored red gown. Even now she wears it, little glittering pieces of dark crimson flicker off her with each step. Flesh clings to her scarred bodice, blood taints her fur, as whip of a tail curls behind her.

But wait, what is that? Veering off course she dances toward what surely must be a mourning mother, her keening cry shrill as she screams her angst. Smile weaves itself upon her face, furless lips rising to reveal gleaming daggers as she stalks closer. A deep hum building as she closes in, watching as the grief stricken lass rounds up her remaining trio of pups and prepares to move them. But she makes another mistake, she is in front and one has fallen slightly behind. ”Pssst” She cooes, her voice holding a soft child like quality. ”Come.” She knows the child might not come but she only waits a second for it to still, its curiosity holding it and Fae takes a moment to reveal in the high as the storm builds. A little longer.

Heart thunders.

Wait for it…..Eyes flash and then she is upon it, jaws clamped upon its snout as she lies, suffocating the whelp as its paws scrape at her deformed face. It is then that she hums aloud, a lullaby she used to sing to her pups before they were ripped from her, before she added them to her garden, before she wept blood tears. But that was so long ago, when she knew love and was going soft. Not now, not ever.

Rising she picks up the still intact red and white flower, a lily for she has need of one. Perhaps she will skin it and arrange the bones so that it looks like the pup is about to jump? Yes then she will use the pelt as a rug, the other six pelts were starting to wear and she needed to replace them. Slowly she slithers forward, dragging the body across the ground, hoping to leave little grisly pieces of flesh behind and it is not long before she reaches the congregation just in time to hear the little one speak. Yet I pay her no mind, for at this moment I drop my lily in front of Ruv. ”Here, my lily but you may have meat.” With that I settle down by my lily, tongue slipping forth to clean the dirt that has begun to cling to it. I will begin to skin it shortly but not now.

After a few licks I turn my head again, giving Jai a full glimpse of my face, and I smile. I positively beam before I convulse in hysterical laughter. No one knows why I am laughing, neither do I.

It felt right so I do…and I laugh and laugh and laugh.
