She smiled as Shadow moved over to her, taking the journey of walking into the day. She truly didn't know what to expect of anything but the harsh rays of the sun. She actually had not been out in true daylight. Her pelt started to itch, but she fought the feeling. She would not remember the morning she and her lover walked to Prey Plateau and hunted a doe. She would not remember the pain when she turned around and he was gone. The feeling of being left alone. She didn't want to face that again, so she forced, somehow, her pelt to lay flat. She took a deep breath, breathing in the scents of the morning. She had not breathed these in in a long time. She watched as the sun slowly came out from behind the horizon in a gash of orange and pink.
Turning to Shadow, she was almost taken aback. He was almost ready to run, but he hid the feeling well; she was surprised at that. She layed her tail onto his. "I know what you are thinking: you want to run away from the light, the feeling of how you are noticed now, your black pelt sticking out as if in a white background. It is not as bad as it seems, trust me. If it will calm you, we can move to the treeline until you want to come out. Sounds like a deal? And believe me, I fell apart when I first stepped into a light that wasn't white."
She waited for him to respond. In the mean time, she rose from her sitting postion, feeling her tail slid off of Shadow's pelt. It burned that it hadn't stayed there longer. "In fact, I haven't been in the light in a long time. Since...last I was with a wolf. It might help me too to move within the shadows first." Her statement had some truth in it; she didn't want to face the light, for it would bring back memories she usually kept at bay. She shook her pelt, trying to get rid of the scents. She stepped in front of Shadow, and looked at him. She saw that his eyes glinted off the rays, and she almost fell at the sight. Gathering herself together, she said, "Truly, it will help."
OOC- Where do you want to go first? Staircase Falls or like someplace like Misty Mountain or Rainbow Cliff? If you want to go somewhere, just shout it out, lol. :D Replies:
