Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

how to make a photo sparkle

I am pleased to see in the wake of such grandeur odds and epic tragedy, there is hope for We wolves of the Mountain afterall. Perhaps my mother and father had perished... but in my search I have discovered a greater number then I had even hoped had survived. Gailene and Camelot... Bark and Whimper... Even my Brother Silvertongue had re-emerged. It had solidified my resolve, and given me some much needed strength.

I am overjoyed to be so blessed by these small miracles... and united I knew that we survivors would rebuild what we had lost. And so it is with great pride and a bittersweet heart that I finally decide to re-acquaint myself with the new Moladian. Nothing sparks any sense of familiarity as I tread upon reverent paws along the outskirts of the crater. The high walls have been covered over in a thick carpet of pine and the now nutrient rich soil left in the aftermath of volcanic lava flows are now abundant with flora and fauna of all manner and magnitude.

Truly if I had not known what had been before, then I would have found this place to be a most beautiful paradise. But to me, the giant crater will always dredge up a somber undercurrent. It was a tomb. A Shrine.... a Cemetery for all the lost Souls who still haunt the landscape. Haunt my memories.

Orba gives a soft chuff of sound, and I feel her feathers whoosh and splay the fur on the back of my neck as she lands upon my shoulders. She always seemed to know how I was feeling. I stepped up to the steep edge of the cliff, peering over into the epicenter of the gaping chasm before reclining onto my haunches.

One face continued to flash in my head. One that had been absent long before the Meteor ever fell over our skies. I let out a long sigh, a whisper of breath.

"Alcide..." I murmured, the name slipping like a cherished heirloom from my lips. "Do you Live my Love? Have you gone on to that other place I cannot reach....?" I speak words that have weighed so heavily on my heart for so long. Words left unspoken because I could not bear to say them... not when I have already come to terms with so much.

But now it was a relief, to let the emotions flow. I had to be strong, But I must also be realistic. And after all this time.... feeling our connection weaken and grow faint, the odds were not good. But I knew apart of me would never give up hope.

"Where are you when I need you now most of all...." I ponder, my gaze growing distant as I stare beyond the western ridge of the crater on the other side.... to the lands beyond Moladian. Wondering if he was still out there somewhere. "Will I ever see you again?"
