I feel it, there is a hole in the threshold, something has crossed over and my broken mind can feel it. Like something out of a horror story romance I am drawn to it, I can smell it now. That delicate perfume of a female, but ah, I am too far away, not close enough to think of plucking this flower just yet. How, how can I get close enough to snap the stem holding this perfect opportunity to the earthen prison? Body moves unbidden into the crater, white sticking out against the brown grasses of the land. I sense another beast, I can feel it against my skin like a third layer of insulating fur. Who is it, where is it? I do not see anything but the vast crater before me, and yet the scent of midnight flowers blooms in my nose, leading me. Down, down, down, I move away from that thing called a rim. How am I so silent, I have not heard my steps in a long time, and I feel like a spirit floating across the earth.

I must seek her out, that scent alluring and arousing a curiosity I have not seen in me before. She smells like a feast, like a wonderful wolven feast set out just for me, and I must take this bait. I have not eaten since I saw those pups in the east. My mind fragments a bit more, grinning as an innocent blue female appears within my jade green sights. "Oh, little dove, you look so alone. Come, come with me I will show you home." I called out to her, luring the little innocent. How fun this game will be, this little girl will lose more than just her soul tonight. I grin, the gesture looking almost friendly as I stalk toward her, head held in false amicable position. There is nothing friendly about me, nothing, I could not even truly look the part. My white fur is a bit too messy, and my eyes just a tad too cold.

Dark, so dark, like mother, yes like mom. I stare at her, eyes going blank and devoid of life as my pace stops, I cease to move. Simply watching as her face attempts to morph into that of my mother, something stopping the transition, but almost allowing it. I blink, and continue my pace, not willing to let this imposter get away with such twisting of her features. I growl, teeth baring slightly as I make my way to her, standing a few feet away from her as something black seems to touch her, to brush her shoulder. Image shattered, not my mother, but a stranger, a victim, a tragedy waiting to happen. Oh, yes. This is mine, I will have this beautiful midnight bloom, and she will never see another day. I grin once more, mood changing rapidly to speak. "You seem delightful, little flower. As if you will last an hour." I grin, circling her as I speak, my aim hidden in my riddle. I have played this game before and I have won every time. With Atreyu, with Fatality, with Skrillex. We have won, I have led, I have won. I laugh softly, the sound bubbling up from a dark and happily so place. Who is this being, and what has drawn me here other than the dark hunger that fuels my soul?
