Misty Mountain is opposite of Rainbow Cliff. Mists hover year-round at this high altitude, mistaken by some to be thin clouds. Thin layers of snow cover the mountain, making some areas slippery and hazardous.

Some think it romantic, a place to bring their mates, while others come to play and romp. However, all must agree that there is some level of mystery and spookiness hovering about with the mists...

Shuko jumped from a cliff. He knew this place was odd, and he didn't know why. The mists just seemed like they had some secret that they could hardly keep to themselves. It was an eerie feeling to be up here, but by every minute, it felt better. Jumping from cliff to cliff, he felt great, using his sheer muscle to climb this big mountain. The cold provided the air that would suck your breath away, and the jumping worked on his strength. He continued to jump from the cliffs, until he stopped at one to catch his breath. He looked out over the land in front of his amber eyes, and saw everything at once. He saw a river that hurtled down to where it stopped, or was it where it began? Love seemed to pool in the air around it. He saw thick forest, and a clearing that broke up the sides. He swore he could hear teeth scraping against flesh, and blood spilling onto the ground. He looked to the right, and saw a massive area where no tree grew. Hundreds of dots were scattered around this place. He saw some suddenly move, and a group of smaller dots chase after them. He saw stones jut out from the ground, and he felt that was a place for peace. He looked at everything at once, and it made him shudder at how big a world they lived in. And the was just here! He couldn't look at it anymore, it was too powerful.

He jumped from that cliff again, and started walking. HIs thick paws left prints in the ground that he knew would not disappear for a while. He shook his pelt, and flakes of white flew off his russet colored fur. It started as a dark russet color on his back, and slowly faded to a dry dirt color at the bottom of his legs and then his paws. Shuko knew that his ear was partly gone, and that he had a scar that grew from his neck to the top of his shoulders. His paws crunched in the snow, and he felt the cold bite at them. Lifting his maw, he scented a wolf, and decided to go and see if this wolf was sitting alone. He wasn't looking for romance, but the security of a friend. Friends can often be the most important kinds of wolves. He trotted forward, and saw a feya sitting at the edge of this part of the mountain. Misty Mountain; its song rang true to its name.

His paws moved over the ground in grace. When the she looked at him, he muttered, "You like the journey up here too, eh?" She shook his pelt again for good measure, and sat next to the feya, looking out at the land once again. "I have always loved the way you know exactly where everything is up here. Know exactly where your friends are." The cold bit at his pelt again, but his undercoat provided a warm blanket that kept his body hot. "I always come up here to let off my steam. Some wolves can get pretty annoying. I don't mean you, of course." He smiled. Shuko was cocky, no doubt about it. He wrapped his tail around his front legs, and the tip of it started to thump. Ears flickered before he waited for the feya's response.
