PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

searching for an escape

Mouse felt a certain fondness for the filly as she wistfully gazed about at the scenery. She, too, was in awe of the mountaintop and the safety and vistas it offered her. In her time here, comparatively short to her sisters, she had come to love her home. Her gratitude toward Impa for offering her a haven here had not yet been expressed, but she would make an effort to remember mentioning it the next time they ran into each other. Though her anxiety in large groups still persisted, she was becoming more comfortable in the Peak each day. She presumed that the painted girl was here to seek a place among their ranks and join their relatively stress-free lifestyle.

However, as the winds licked over them and ruffled their furry bodies, she saw purpose on Skylar’s face, and again Mouse thought there was something quite familiar about the patchy roan. It could not be the coloring, for it was rather uncommon as far as she had seen. Then the girl’s eyes turned on her, and as she looked back into her young face, she realized she had seen the golden coloring before. Only moments later, Skylar mentioned a father requesting to meet the grulla in the Falls.

Her first instinct was to flatten her ears, and they briefly disappeared into her inky tangle of mane. However, she was well aware that what had passed between Mouse and Styrke was not the fault of the child in front of her. She brought her ears to a more relaxed position as a wry smile fell upon her lips. A soft snort of amusement escaped her before she finally replied to the girl’s request. ”Well, at least he had the good sense not to come himself. What more could he want from me?” But she thought she knew the answer, and to save Skylar from having to answer for her father, she spoke up again. ”Very well, then. Let’s be off!” Though she had mixed emotions about encountering the father of her child again, she attempted to keep the mood light as she smiled again and took a few heavily laden steps toward the decline, pausing to glance back and check that the good-natured filly was following.
