The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

(( she's back! :D kinda.. and sorry for rambling a little xD))

It had been a long, long time since the golden cream she-wolf had been seen in these parts. Roughly seven months, give or take a week or two. The pack had been low on activity so the old wolf had chosen that time to have one last go at finding her brother's pack in the northern lands. It had been a hard slog for the elder, she was no young spry thing any more, her bones ached with the cold and her good eye was no longer that good. Several times she nearly didn't make it, but something drove her on, some yearning, some desperate need to find that which she was seeking. Days turned into weeks and weeks into months as the old lass struggled through the unforgiving tundra that was her old home. But, she persevered and finally, she found him.

It was one morning, she was taking a slow walk through a pine forest, following a faint trail that seemed like it might be the one. All of a sudden the trail had turned into a border scent and Tjikiju had almost fallen over in surprise. She was a creature of hope, yes, but so many of these trails had gone cold that she'd never expected to find an actual pack. Trying not to cross the border in her eagerness, the old wolf had given a hoarse howl and waited with baited breath to see who would come. It was an adult male who had come first, and to Ti's delight, she recognized him. He was the oldest son of her brother, a good-hearted and strong-willed creature. She let out a short sharp bark of joy, the male returning one of his own as he in turn recognized his aunt. The pair embraced, sinking noses deep into each others fur, to smell the familiarity.

As the young male, Drézjir was his name, led her back to the pack, he told her about her brother and the many years she had missed. She listened intently, so glad to know he was still alive. And when they finally arrived at the pack, his was the first face she latched onto. He looked so very old, even more so than she herself did, he looked tired and exhausted. She had been shocked, she could tell he was close to the end, but she was glad that she could be with him in his final days. They spent those days reminiscing, giggling like puppies about old times until the old male slept one night and didn't wake up.

Tjikiju thought her heart would break, she had long since thought she'd never see him again, now she'd found him and lost him, all in the space of a fortnight. Kijáté had always been the light in her life, the one thing that kept her living through all the traumas she faced. But, she reasoned, the north was harsh, he was amazingly lucky to have lived for so long. It was the same reason why, although she wanted to, she couldn't remain in the pack, under Drézjir's rule. She had to return to Blossom Forest's warmer, gentler climes, she would soon lose her own life in her harsh homeland.

So it was that, with a heavy heart, the old pale gold she-wolf was back on warmer ground. Her tread, though slow and limping, had a decisive destination in mind. Andere Seite. She wondered how the pack was faring, she'd been away for a long time, but even before she left few had remained. She hoped Seline and Saladin would remain, and perhaps that strikingly coloured new girl, Kaguya. Maybe the queen's children would be there as well, Cade and Quirino. Really though, she just wanted a familiar face, one that would remember her and welcome her with open paws, so to speak.

Finding herself on familiar ground, the old lass sniffed around for the border scent. When she found it, she realized there was no sign of Seline or Saladin, but there was sign of the puppies. Though of course, they were no longer puppies. There was also something off about the other scents around, many were heavily laden with bloody tones and the girl crinkled her nose at them. She was hesitant to find out who lived here now, but she so desperately wanted to see a friend.

Sinking slowly down to the ground, the heavily scarred elder sighed softly. She wasn't going to howl for assistance, her voice was too old, too cracked to carry far. Her body was skinny, hunting was hard, and her fur patchy from the transition from bitingly cold to warmer climes. Her left leg was bent slightly from an old attack, one that also left her with deep rib scars and a deep, ingrained fear of green-eyed, black coated males. But, she was alive and that was the important thing. She felt older than the hills but she was still hanging on and would strive to hang on for as long as possible.
