Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

She was out exploring again. Part of her refused to think that her puppies had died. She didn't see them die, like she saw her old pack mates fall to disease one by one. She didn't see their bodies still and lifeless on the ground...so there was always a chance! RAINBOW would find them one day, she would! At the very least her bird-poop puppies were still alive and well in her mind, wiggling and yipping around her belly. But she was still going to look, she was still going to explore. There was, indeed, a lot of new things to see. The crater was huge, so huge! RAINBOW had run up to it, her body so little, her eyes so large as she took in the amazing sight. It looked...fun! Her periwinkle eyes saw a big body of water, and RAINBOW loved water! It was so fun, it would play with her as much as she played with it, and water never got tired. It was the best!

Somehow RAINBOW managed to climb down the crater, with some...issues along the way, but you wouldn't have guessed it by her endlessly happy expression. There was a time or two where she lost her footing, her little blue-grey paws failing to hold her rather fat and fluffy body, and she would fall and tumble a few feet. But RAINBOW was an elastic girl. It was like she was made of rubber, she would bounce right back on her feet and continue on her way...almost like she MEANT to do it.

She walked with a kick to her step, her front paws almost hitting her chest with each step. She was a pudgy thing, the weight she gained from her pregnancy two years ago never seemed to leave. She was a short girl though, a foot and few inches shorter than her soon to be friend. The girl was the runt of her litter, the runt of the whole pack, and yet they raised her with much love and positivity, almost to a fault. Of course, her pack intended to tell her the harsh realities of the world, but had died before given the chance. Somehow, RAINBOW had managed to live a healthy seven winters, losing all of her family and her precious pups, and still was happy to be alive.

There were so many distractions. A bug over here, a flower over there, a bird, no two! RAINBOW would run up to each wonderful thing, of course the bird flew away, and she would stare at it, mouth wide open as a quite 'wow' escaped her lips. Birds were amazing! They were the best! She yipped and yipped, jumping into the air herself in a pathetic attempt to fly. She jumped and she jumped, her tail wagging with glee as she did so. She kept following the pretty bird, it is blue and white, and it flew so fast! RAINBOW had to stop jumping and start running to keep up with it. She ran through grassy fields, eyes focused high in the air as she continued to yip. RAINBOW broke through some bushes, the lake coming into view. It was so pretty, so sparkly and shiny, and her eyes diverted to the lake for a moment, slowing her pace in awe.

She blinked and stared, body wiggling around in excitement...a wiggle that only ceased with sleep. RAINBOW had forgotten what lead her here...but it was okay! There was water! Suddenly the girl raced towards the water, paws go from grass to sand, and with an epic leap she dived into the water.

Okay so the leap wasn't so epic. It was probably rather comical to see, a small pudgy fluffy blue-grey girl barely making it into the air before splashing into...ankle deep water. It was enough to make her happy though, paws flailing left and right as she played with the endlessly amusing water. How amazing! How fun!

It only took a moment before RAINBOW's eyes saw another. RAINBOW was instantly attracted to other wolves, like a strong magnet. She couldn't help but go be friends with everyone she saw. The girl yipped, and trotted in the water over to the dirty white wolf. The first thing RAINBOW noticed was his eyes, and they were the prettiest of eyes, so white! Her mouth gaped open happily, her periwinkles fixated on his whites.

"Woooooowww! You have the most white eyes, they are missing their black spots! How pretty! Do I have black spots in my eyes? Can mine be white like yours?" she said with a squeal of excitement, stopping a few feet away, head tilting back and forth in her own fluff, front paws dancing their typical happy dace. Today was going to be a good day for making new friends, she just knew it!
