During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

[monologue] for a sleepless night

In the short silence between them, the dark regal began to wonder why his presence made this fae so uncomfortable. She could barely meet his stare, and her words chopped and hushed. Did he really intimidate her that much? His own gaze shifted to the ground, ocean eyes drooping slightly and he tried to figure out the answer. Sure, there was nothing wrong with others being afraid of him, but surely this lady had known him for long enough to realize he was no heartless monster. Especially after the recent events as of late, all that had happened in the short span of minutes and hours. And yet she was still apprehensive, holding back when Serris had every intention to catch her if she fell. A sad sigh flowed from his nares.

Her first words fell on deaf ears as she lowered herself to the ground, their bodies close and yet so distant. The brute tensed his neck, deciding whether or not to try and strike up a conversation as they waited. It’d probably just die out anyway... even with all the effort he would put into it... Suddenly a shiver ran through his body, the hair on his cheek instantly standing on end. A cold kiss dug into his fur, the sound of working nares filling the space as Alleria took in his scent. Ah? His pools shrunk, tip of his flag twitching in an invisible wind. A low growl began to flow from his chest, bouncing off the dirt floor. But his tone wasn’t threatening; no, this rumble held a much different emotion.

Her smooth lyrics hit him in waves. Delicious, eh? Inside his mouth the boy’s tongue swept over his ivory teeth, partially spurred from the sudden ego boost. In the back of his mind Serris wondered what triggered this sudden outburst. Only a few breaths ago she was cowering in his presence, collapsed on the border in defeat. But he could care less; this was the girl he had become infatuated with, not the shivering vixen he met at the borders. His maw moved to sit next to her ear, his whiskers so close that they danced with the hair on Alleria’s crown. “Delicious, you say? As much as I deeply enjoyed that compliment, and will repay you for those words, the true question still remains. Am I yummy enough to eat?” His words were a purr, a low caress upon her ear lobes. He reached to nip at the base of her auds, toes curling impulsively.
