age: 7
gender: male
eye color: icy blue / white
appearance: 32 inches tall at the shoulder and weighing about 145 pounds, hickory is of average size. He has the typical reddish fur that his species is known for, though it appears most prominently on his legs and underbelly, with his back being flecked with intermingled black and pale fur. The markings on his face and cheeks are particularly dark, which makes the pale coloration of his upper lips stand out. Hickory’s tail is almost entirely black, and the stripes down his front legs are almost perfectly symmetrical. He weighs about one hundred forty-five pounds, the result of the prey-plentiful years of his youth. Hickory’s most distinctive attribute is his left ear, which was torn from the lower base nearly to the center. It’s the battle scar of a childhood struggle with a sibling, and as a result it droops nearly like a domestic dog’s. He also has a few white patches of fur on his neck and belly, but they are nearly invisible in his summer coat, only emerging when he is fluffy and ready for winter.
personality: were it not for his droopy ear, hickory would be a prime example of wolf ‘beauty’ (if one can call if that). But since he’s looked like a jester since he was a pup, he’s grown into that as a personality as well. He loves nothing more than playing pranks on his packmates, and he is always a favorite among the pups. So far, he’s not expressed any sort of serious side at all, but presumably its down there somewhere. He’s a submissive wolf at heart, but he’s never suffered for it, since his easy nature allows him to get along with nearly everyone he meets. He often plays at being clumsy and awkward, but when he’s hungry enough, he’s an excellent hunter – though he’s better at being the weight to bring down dinner rather than the racer that runs it tired.
history: born in a plentiful packland, with imprinted, but older parents. When his parents passed away (his father a few weeks after his mother, having starved himself), Hickory wasn’t interested in being led by his much more serious brother, and he left to find a more laid back group of wolves.
