so, i apologize, and receive hostile comments in return. i then retaliate with my own similarly rude comments, and yet again find myself on the receiving end of sexist insults and charming criticism. how are
mares more suited to leading a herd than a stallion? I am not sexist myself, but surely there are no rules on who may lead a herd and who may not? many may say a stallion is, in fact, more capable of running his own group of equines. i think you'll find many, though not myself, will also say women are only useful for bearing children, and doing the "housework" of the land. boy, this el aran is lucky i'm not one of those.
"i do apologize, missus, but i think you'll find the desert is quite rightfully mine, and you are in no position to tell me what to do. now, i think i'm done with this discussion. you may remain resident of the desert, but as of this moment in time, i do not feel particularly happy to have you put in a higher rank. show me you're worth more than that lying mouth of yours, and maybe my opinions will approve."
i was harsh, you're not wrong in saying that, but what the mare addressed me with i found rather insulting; how dare she think she can rule my own herd better than myself! I mean, ok, I haven't successfully claimed any followers right now, but it's my herd and i'll do what i damn want to do with it. she has absolutely no right to tell
me where to go. she's lucky i'm even letting her and her stuck up son stay here! i'd much rather they went and bothered somebody else where, but no, i had to choose the herdland she had inhabited in the past. typical, hey. good going, renai. maybe she'd prove to be useful, fighting off intruders with that huge mouth of hers. possibly. for now she was just a filler in the ranks, i suppose, and an excuse to call the desert some sort of herd at least.
i dip my head in dismissal, though my feet remain planted to the sand dune beneath my figure. i shall not flee, that would be the action of a coward. i shall remain as i stand until, perhaps, el aran replies, or takes her son and flees herself. true, i am done putting my point across, but the mare's response could be of some interest. would she accept it begrudgingly, or stand her ground some more? probably the latter, if i'm honest, though i'd much rather she merely nodded and got on with it, if hosting a few rejections inside her head. should she object anymore, perhaps i should tell her to take her beloved colt and get the heck out. i haven't space for arrogant know it all mares and colts in this herd.
OOC- very sorry if he comes across as rude, renai is... sensitive xDD would you like el aran and orhan added to the table?
the artist's palette falls, the paint is spilled with blood.
