raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
She was excited, no, she was more than excited, she was exuberant! This place was now home, she hadn't a need to go back home now if she didn't want to. Not that she did, she was begining to like this place more and more each day she'd spent here. The hunt had been thrilling, to see Pan there had only seemed to re-affirm her desire to stay here and join the black wolf Weylin's pack. She remembered him from the edge of the rim and probably would have fallen if she wasn't so focused on the hunt.
Right now she was busy doing two things at once, quiet a feat for the young wolf who always has her head in the clouds. She is scoping out this new landscape of hers, eyes averted to the level just above the ground as her nose touches the ground ever so slightly taking in all the scents of the other wolves. Some she knows, most from the hunt but others she doesn't and she figures at some point she'll run into some of them, if not all of them at some point or another. As well as this, she's looking for Pan because, well as much as he irritated her at times with his non-stop talking and correcting her, there was something there, deep down in the bottom of some part of little Ever that liked him. His coy smiles, the way he looked at her, she just couldn't shake the feelings she was having. Poor thing was to young to understand that this could probably be just mer facination, youthful yearnings, she was after all only two and she had never felt these things before. It was like butterflies in her stomach when she'd joined her small pack-family for her first hunt.
Nerves of steel, was not something that Everchime had, she honestly didn't know how she'd built up the gall to launch herself on that buffallo, perhaps she'd just had a spot of good luck. In the end, she's found herself further down wind from the two females along the same river. Her paws slipping into the slightly chilly water as the sun begins it's tour up out of the darkness of it's rest and into the visual reds and oranges that she saw now at the edge of the sky. Her feet splashed happily through the edge of the river as she thought to make her away across and check out the other side, the scent of the other females caught her attention though, one she knew but didn't have a name to put to that smell. The other, she was sure she'd smelled but couldn't be all that sure about it. Her feet change course and she slops along the edge with her nose in the air scenting the two and finding their location.
It wasn't far now, just a few paces, the smell was getting stronger, she couldn't place it. It wasn't bad, no it could almost be contained as a fragrance rather than a scent or a smell, pungent yet perfumy to a degree. She comes sloshing around a bend in the river, probably having been heard by everyone for miles in all directions at this point she was just excited to meet others. She'd only met Pan for any great amount of time and the others.. it had just been by happenstance that she'd even arrived to the hunt at all. Her wet paws slip on the rocks as small claws try to dig in for tractions but it fails and she whipes out just as Jaye had (though Ever had not seen this) her ass end falling into the water as she literally slides through the water and sends a spray in all directions, hopefully not on her new friends. A silly smile spreads across her lips as she looks to the both of them noticing the white female from the hunt. "Oh you silly paws you! I told you that sliding was only ment for winter time" she said endearingly to her own paws in jest. "Hello there, I'm sorry if I got you wet" she looks to Jaye and is slightly horrified with herself because she thinks all that water she's just sprayed has gone all over the darker wolf.
