Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

A smirk dared toy at his features - handsome and smooth and yet something was not quite right with him. There was some kind of lethality behind his features, a darkness blotted out by the sheer angelic-like nature of his breeding; looks, of course, had always been deceiving in the past. This creature of white and black, though, this stranger by the lake - he seemed almost taken aback by the smoothness of Tesseract. Politeness, it seemed, had all but been lost in Moladion but nonetheless, he offered Amir a gentle chuckle at his greeting. After all, he had come for curiosity and not so much for conversation - a part of him, somewhere deep and locked away, recognised some part of the male. But why?

With a tilted skull, his eyes narrowed slightly as he continued to delve into his own mind in search of what made the boy so familiar. Something about his eyes... or perhaps his legs? Something - words he had been told before. As he moved to speak once more, he was caught off guard by the sudden appearance of a female - her scent blended seamlessly into the surrounding land and with a sudden jerking head movement, he twisted to face her. She was fair - graceful, elegant and yet something was lacking. Often enough he had gazed on females much like her - flawless ebony pelts and yet, they had always been missing just that something. Still, he kept his watch over her brief, offering her a singular shake of his tail and a light bow before taking a step back as if to allow her passage by. As he expected, she sat politely besides the other male, their bodies close and posture all too familiar; mates, or something close to it at least. It had been the same way mother coiled about Vague, and yet it was the same way she coiled about her children, too. Love, it seemed, was much more diverse than he imagined.

She spoke, her voice smooth and cool and he nodded in agreement, his brow raising in curiosity. They were of the old world - that he figured. The other male quickly responded - rebuild our lives. Such snippets of information incited a vicious hunger within Tesseract - a desire for knowledge, for information and he could hardly hide it. His eyes flickered for a moment, his head tilted once more and ears flickering forward with an entertained smile over his face. If they had to rebuild, it meant they once had - but they were no Kings and Queens. Heirs, perhaps? Such information though... such delicious morsels were always so far from reach. So few readily handed him their brains to pick and prod at and for that, he gritted his teeth momentarily before forcing a light sigh from his lips as if to agree.

"Rebuild, yes - we must all start from the ground, it seems. Some have lost so much - but some of us, some of us have gained just as much with the coming a new age," he cooed, a brow raising half expectantly as he flashed them a toothy grin, "There are so many opportunities now. But my manners escape me - Bluejay, yes? A fair name - of the beautiful birds that sing above us. My name is Tesseract, and may I have yours, my friend?"

He turned to face Amir, his face alight with youthful curiosity as he again shook his tail. He was so close to finding out just what it was that was familiar - a name would put it all together, he could tell. He just had... push a little to get it, yes? After all, a name was just a name to so many...

"Have I intruded? Perhaps I can find you another day, yes? And I can show you the new world - these new opportunities if you wish," he spoke, raising his head and flickering his gaze between the two before chuckling half heartedly, "It's just been a pleasure to meet others from before the sky fell. It's been so long since I've been able to relate."
