Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

He'd always been a curious creature, one of whom obsessed over detail and knowledge. Even in his youth, he had watched and learned all he could about and from the other children; he had demanded to learn what the prisoners of Trenus had committed against, their punishment and just who they were. There had been some though that had managed to elude him, to slip beneath his radar, and his desire to learn of them had never quite left his very soul. He thirsted to discover each and every strength and weakness they beheld; each and every thought and memory they had. It was almost an obsession - he had to master not only himself, but those around him.

One family in particular that had always captivated him had been the Trenus royalty. He had learned of Isola - almost grown fond, or as close to it as he could be - and her gentleness; he had learned of Heyel's fairness and reasoning and he had learned of Tiamat's determination. It was the far off familiar scent of one in particular, though, that had roused him from his wanderings; the familiar scent of the one he knew as Azrael. He had been born the spring before Tesseract - larger, pushier and yet somehow elusive. Their strange similarities had driven Tesseract to discover him even more so - the sameness, and difference, of the marks that extended over their spines, for starters. There was much more to it now and with a fluid change of direction, he was off after the scent that wafted through the foliage and shade. It took him little time to catch the sudden movement ahead of him, the sudden flash of white and crimson bursting before him. He had found his Azrael; a smirk fleshed its way over his features, his limbs taking him forward without hesitation.

He moved with effortless grace, his foot falls muffled as he slid forward towards the duo; always composed, he wore an easy smile and long, confident strides. It had been impossible to not hear the bellowing exchange between the two, an exchange that he responded to with an airy chuckle. Slowly he approached, dipping his head in acknowledgement to both before halting some distance from the two, offering the petite girl a single kind shake of his tail. It took little time to analyse her; she was young, cocky perhaps, but small nonetheless. It was Azrael that captivated him; for some moments, his lavender gaze settled on the male's form. Taller - still - and thicker, though just as feisty as ever. It had been the one thing he truly did remember of the boy - and of the bloodline, really - a cocky and talkative bunch though their words rarely came of value. Perhaps they outgrew and outmuscled many, but few of them seemed to be able to outsmart them.

When it came to Tesseract, easy confidence was an understatement.

"Careful, or perhaps one day the girl will grow to make you wear dirt upon your face," he spoke, his voice cool and smooth though he completed it with a broad, handsome grin and a raised brow (expectant, of course). For a moment he allowed his attention to remain on the male, his eyes constantly analysing each and every muscle twitch or movement of fur; mechanical-like, truly. Then, he swung his head back to the younger girl, his head dipping low into a bow before meeting her matching gaze, "My apologises, miss. We are not all like he, I promise you that."

Again, a broad toothy grin and a shake of his tail before his head rose, gaze sliding between the two. What better way to discover what he wanted to know then to implement a stress test of sorts, yes? To discover the secrets of the young girl and the male that had eluded him for so long.
