eye colour; rio's eyes match his face very well; handsome things go with other handsome things. his irises are toned a bright honey gold, such as the gem citrine, and are very expressive and communitive. and yet if one were to look closely, they could see shards of emerald piercing throughout the main colour, though this was subtle and only seen up close or in the correct lighting.
appearance; 38inches/174lbs. he is broad, he is tall, and he is healthy. rio has aged well so far in his life, and it shows throughout his body. thick fur covers his entire fourm, the only imperfection coming from a scar that laces the left side of his muzzle. this was received in protecting his old home from a challenger, and though it is far in his past, it is still a memory he holds dear. the base hue of his coat is a deep, bloody russet. though on his face the colour lightens only a shade or two along his jaw and cheeks, as well as against his chest. against his shoulders his guard hairs are dusted with light onyx, but the russet of his pelt is the most prominent thing that shows through. rio's stature is one of regality, royalty- and that is said literally. he was, and is, the prince of his birth pack far to the north, a land so frigid and cold year young that only the heartiest of souls can survive. it was there he learned how to hold himself, to be graceful and strong all in the same step.
personality; he is fatherly figure to most that he comes across, though he has yet to sire any children of his own. once upon a time he took in a female and her cubs which he had helped into this world, and took care of them as his own- and by all means they were his own, but not by blood. while he is proud, he is also fair and just. he sees sense in many ways of the world, and knows how to handle himself well in almost any given situation. though he may not have always been the wisest when he was younger, he has been gifted wisdom with age, though he knows very well he has much, much more to learn. he is fiercely protective, fiercely loyal, though he knows the time to back down and accept defeat, if he were to actually ever be defeated. rio holds great confidence in himself, mainly because he knows his skills and he knows himself very well. he feels that there are not many who can truly admit to that.
