The Cavern of Secrets holds much more than you can imagine. Once a forbidden place, the ban on entrance has been released...yet, is it a good idea to enter?

Once a great battle had been fought in this cavern, against a dark beast that had once - and still might - dwell here. No one knows where he disappeared to, but there are rumours...

I know she could smell me a mile away because oddly enough, I wasn't trying to mask my approach as I usually would for prey. Maybe that means she's not on the menu tonight. Either that or I want her to play hard to get so I can get what I want anyway. I like challenges sometimes and tonight's a pretty night so why not? She turns her head, her gaze expectant as it washes over me. Something about my scent has a curious gleam in her eyes, as if she recoginizes something about it. Perhaps it's the pack scent on my coat. She reminds me of the alpha and her brother so could she be related? I'm starting to think so, I just don't want to jump to any conclusions right away. her eyes are a bright emerald green, almost like a snake so I know immediately not to trust her. Of course, I never trust anyone. The only wolf who has that honor is a million miles away. It's not a security thing. Why lend my trust when I'm not to be trusted myself? It's a matter of fairness.

Her lips slowly, pleasurably stroke into a lazy grin, something satisfying in the tiny creases of her mouth as her eyes travel languidly over my flesh. My skin tingles again in anticipation as she gets her fill, my body lean and tall, a giant with broad shoulders and a viking heart. Or rather, lack of, since it doesn't beat anymore. I don't miss a beat caressing her own form with my icy stare, getting to know every little delicate curve with a master's eye. She studies me for a few moments before something glints in her eyes, her body seeming to stiffen a little at something she found in my cologne. My head merely tilts a little more, eyes glistening in curiosity to know what she found. She doesn't give me much time to read though as she lifts herself to her paws, stretching out as her joints pop and groan in satisfaction. I don't hide the approval in my eyes as I get a better view of her muscle tone, watching her move her head side to side like an experienced fighter, or experienced killer, one of the two or perhaps both. When she's done, she shakes her coat out, the red burning through the white like a wildfire that I'm sure would light up the sky and kill all of us night walkers with its brilliance should she walk into the sunlight.

About the time she turns her attention back to me, I'm speaking, greeting her with hidden words, trying to deduce just how perceptive this creature is. Her first reaction is a smile which is a hell of a lot better than just staring at me blankly or looking confused. Either she catches my meaning or she's a hell of an actress. Her reply has my skin pulling taut in slight surprise, though I'm careful never to let it reach my eyes. Her daughter....so this is the fabled Selene, Cade's mother. Of course she would scent the new queen on my coat since my last encounter in Andere was with her, save that mysterious little pup who had something to do with Clover. My own lips pull tighter into a delicious smile, eyes already teasing her with dark mischief. Well, now I know where she gets it from. I banter back. I'm guessing she'll at least have enough confidence in my intellect to put two and two together when she talks about her daughter.

She starts moving and I can already smell the blood in her veins quickening as she gets it pumping after lying down for a while. My eyes go to her jugular, watching the throat pulse with a life all its own before I tear my gaze away. She is putting herself between me and my escape but for right now at least, I don't mind. I am not a brainless male to think I have to have an escape route in mind before I can be comfortable in my surroundings. I have let the predator become me and I know if I need an escape, I can always go right through her and I'm sure I won't mind the taste for the road. My body remains lax though there's always a hidden tension beneath the surface of my thick white threads, a desire to be put to use but we'll have to see if the muscles will get to savor that sort of interaction. I keep one ear on her as she moves around me, lips crinkling back only a little at her remark about not going to waste. The expiration code might go back further than you think. I continue to watch her, reaching for her gaze, gauging her every reaction.

She moves in closer, dangerously close. I can practically hear her blood thumping in my ears now, pumping through her heart in a steady rhythm as she tilts her head and speaks once more, this time of playing as child in the dark but never worried about the monsters in the shadows. Perhaps you haven't been warned that monsters mean more than to simply say "boo" and then leave. They can be quite...ornery sometimes. The lyrics fall off my lips like smooth honey, facial expression never changing from the languid curiosity that its held from the beginning. She completely circles me now, facing me at the end to ask for my name, her voice a cute little riddle of rhymes. Not all games are meant to be fun. The less rules, the better. They call me Eric. What do I call my circling hawk? She lets laughter drip from her lips after asking my name, a silly sound in all the ominous silence of the cavern. Her eyes dance with self amusement, like tiny ballerinas in a sea of green flame. I can see she likes playing with fire. Let's hope she likes to dance in it as well.
