Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Note: Susil Crags will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

The silver and black creature follows Weylin easily enough. A slight limp due to an internal rotation and shortening of his humerus on the left side left him seemingly crippled to those that did not know him. And yet, Bedwyr had still saved his life and seen value in it when no one else did. Ajax's thoughts often drifted to Bedwyr lately, in that he missed the gruff remarks and the silence they shared. They both had heavy crosses to bear but together Ajax at least felt his burden a little lighter. After all, being left for dead didn't exactly set the mood for a confident mindset. Even two years later. Even surviving such an occurrence and surviving the meteor. While others his age may have forgotten the star falling down upon them with every intent to obliterate them, Ajax remembered.

And then, Bedwyr had snapped. The mismatched eyed wolf barely remembered why an inquisitive young wolf set Bedwyr off but his aggression ended up in the murder of the younger male and Weylin's intervention. It had been the final straw laid across Bedwyr's back and Ajax saw the murderous rage within his eyes. Regicide was suicide and Ajax had tried in vain to stop him but Bedwyr was bigger and stronger than the silver and black and Ajax's words fell on deaf ears. He had watched the fight terrified and he had watched as a broken Bedwyr slunk off to lick his mortal wounds. Ajax had followed, as closely as he dared, watching over Bedwyr the same way that once upon a time he had been watched over. Ajax had loved Bedwyr dearly and tried to offer healing to him, little tricks that Bedwyr himself had taught him, but the golden male had rejected it, muttering things about Lyric. In his delirium, Bedwyr had seen Lyric before he took his final, labored breath. Ajax had stayed with the body until it was cold and vultures, the angels of death, circled above them.

When he had finally returned, Weylin quickly adopted him as one of his sons. It was odd. And Ajax did not feel the same towards the King as he felt towards Bedwyr. Bedwyr had been his savior. Weylin was his King. Still, he found himself behind the black lord. His limp was minimal and he hid his blind eye as best as he could. Still, there was following the King as he made his way towards a bloody mess of a site. Some animal had made it's purpose to murder the occupants of the den, all save the young cub that looked up with eyes that Ajax could not deny. The command comes quickly enough and Ajax accepts it easily. He knew what it was like being a survivor and a victim in the same jaded breath.

He sits as Weylin speaks with his newest brother, and then, he moves forward as Weylin moves to the carcass of who Ajax can only assume was the mother. He speaks quietly to the young cub. "Don't worry, we'll protect you." He quickly sets to cleaning Mortz, his tongue cleaning away the dried, sticky blood from his fur. When he was finished, he looks towards Weylin, ready to leave this place of death. This close to it, it only further reminded him of Bedwyr's cold, unmoving body. It's then that Weylin returns from the prayers over the decreased that Ajax nudges the boy slightly with his muzzle, a gentle smile over his features. "I'm going to pick you up and carry you to Glorall if that's ok. It's far too long a walk today."
