and the raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting...

And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floorShall be lifted - nevermore!

There are plenty of fish in the sea, as one might say, but only certain ones could be trusted to enter the ridge boarders in search of a home. Getting along with Legion seems to be the only real requirement that Blackmore has, knowing that he needs mares that won't scare the younger stallion off, instead, resorting to encouragement so that his bay sibling can continue growing up knowing that others don't find him worth killing. Since their escape from home, Legion has had trouble accepting the fact that he should be alive, thinking instead he was not worth the sacrifice their mother had made. Blackmore is always there, however, to help him out of a pit of despair, instead building up Legion with kind and soft words. One day Legion will have to deal with the real world but not until Blackmore is sure he can handle it. Legion is all he truly has left of home and he's not about to lose it any time soon because of mares that aren't kind to him. Kindness is the reason Blackmore isn't nervous about introducing Rosaline to Legion. Rosaline has such a kind heart about her that Blackmore absolute confidence that Legion will come to like her, once he gets past any timidness that washes over him.

The large black is curious to know if the painted mare likes the initial sight of his new homeland, his beautiful Ridge. She had spoken so fondly of Tinuvel, then of the Shore that she had once resided in, he was not sure how truly open she was to finding residence in yet another territory that she is not too familiar with. Though he does not know why he cared to worry as her reaction is anything but negative, on the contrary, her brilliant smile is almost as brilliant as her tone of voice as a grin comes across the lips of the taller black. This is good, very good, exciting, too! Blackmore almost doesn't know what to do at this point, having only his father to watch and he wasn't the best example in the world. "Wonderful..." The word has an interesting texture on his tongue, as it isn't very often he has ever heard the word much less said it. "Well... I'm still relatively new to this place... there are still parts of it unexplored... care to join me? Legion won't be awake for another little while yet... explored himself to sleep..." There is a fond laugh that falls out into the air as he returns the shoulder bump, careful to not through her completely off balance. Being tall comes with great strength and Blackmore had done well to make sure he knows how much strength he puts into things.

"I hope you continue to like it here... even though you've only just arrived... it'll be nice to have it not so ... baron." He nods his head as if assuring himself of his explination. Being alone was not something Blackmore is fond of, as he is often times alone when Legion goes to rest himself in a small nook that is fairly well hidden from the rest of the world, giving Legion a nice safe place to just let his worries melt into sleep. Having some other friends around would make the lonely times not so lonely and that is a delightful idea to the black stallion.
