The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

The young male looks on me as a blind wolf, his features unchanging even as I can sense his vision is anything but impaired. He can see me just fine, he's just unmoved by the spectacle. It almost makes me want to launch at him, growl, move as if to rip his throat out, anything for a reaction other than the docile face of one unthreatened by anything life has to offer. If we weren't so close to the border, perhaps
I would do any of those number of things but as it were, I believe I'm on some sort of probation since I'm still new to the pack so it might be best if I'm on good behavior, at least for now. Still, my eyes can't help but glint with malicious intent, a idea of what I could have in store for the boy but his eyes don't even flutter. Though when I bring up Clover, I note the recognition in his expression. He does know her then. I figured he would with his scent having been plastered all over her manourished form.

When he speaks, his words are barely more than a whisper, reminding me more of the fragile female I meant to befriend, or at least as close to that as it comes for me. At least he doesn't flinch away from my own voice as she did the first time we met. His words are strange, as if spoken in a foreign tongue that I can somehow translate. I nod in acknowledgement, head tilting as icy stare glistens with intrigue. I see. It's all I can think of to say to that. The reaction on his face is instant though, withdrawal and a sense of discipline displaying on his features as his jaw clenches. He doesn't even have to open his mouth for me to smell the blood he's poured out of his own flesh in his action, my nostrils dilating as if drinking in the substance merely by smelling it. My eyes glow for a moment, hunger prowling in their depths before I exercise my own discipline, closing my eyes for a few seconds, forcing the darkness back before opening my eyes once more, open curiosity the only thing evident in their light blue stare now. I wonder what he said that made him react like this, as if he's ashamed or damning himself for saying so much to a stranger. I wonder what Clover must have told him for him to punish himself as he has. Unless this is something more self related, something he himself believes should happen.

Maybe he doesn't like opening up to wolves he doesn't know. After all, I could be a threat and use this information against him, though I can't think of a good reason why I would. I listen to the boy's questioning, admiring his intellect as he continues to string words together of metaphors and riddles that I almost feel special about being able to translate. His title is spoken of Clover, mother. So she is his dam, but I would have to find out more. Blood or adopted? These are questions I wish to know but perhaps now is not the time. Lips crease back into a knowing smirk, head tilting as my gaze glows wiht mystery. If one has interacted with the owl then it would be polite to know its name. A whisper could mean a thousand things or none at all, depending on the intellect of the one whispering. A riddle is still a riddle, no matter how much it makes sense to the listener. I ask because I knew her. I provided for her a few times, trying to keep her breathing. I never knew she was to bear a litter. I know the owl's name but not the name of my interrogator. I am Eric. It's only polite to provide information when you're asking for it, or so I've been taught.
