Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

Then I saw there was a way to Hell, even from the gates of Heaven

At some point, I didn’t want anything to do with Amir anymore. My life had been pretty hard lately, but now… I see things a little different. I am back to who I always was. I have no reason to care about my name, my honor. Look at who I am now! The Lord of Iromar! If I wanted, I could restore my own name and honor myself, but why would I do that? My name today is great as it is. As I am now, I want Amir to suffer, to beg me to kill him and end his suffering. I want to kill him from the inside out, to destroy his heart first and only then take his life. He’s got nobody now. It will be even easier.

I want to see something happen. The sarcasm in my voice as I told him what happened that night was clear. Why am I revealing this?... I don’t know… But why should I hide? There is nothing to be hidden anymore. Amir had already been punished. But from now on, there will be no punishments. There will be much more. As I spoke, Devil was quick to notice the change in my tone, his eyes narrowed. Now I see… There is something happening. When I pause, there is nothing. He remains unreadable. No emotion, no actions, nothing at all. I proceeded, telling him that Amir just told things about the past to Ruvindra. It is a bit annoying to look and see nothing coming from him, as if he didn’t even care. I keep telling him, wanting to reveal to him what had happened that night. But this is as far as I could reveal to him, for this was all I heard and saw.

He was quick to answer back. Asking me if I still hunted Amir, if I craved his pain. Oh… Now we are getting somewhere. His eyes held a disgusted humor and his voice an amusement. My lips still curled into a smile.

- Yes… I still hunt him… - I nodded, reaffirming my words - … And now more than ever. He didn’t have to take anything from me. No… I finished that family, he is the only one left. He is weak and vulnerable. It is a pleasure to see him suffer, to destroy his heart little by little. He saw his mother die and there was nothing he could do, how great it had been to see his eyes in that night. He escaped, but not again.

There is nothing to hide anymore. I will hunt Amir down and make him suffer, I will destroy him little by little. I will take everything from him. But I wanted something more. Devil had been one of those who destroyed my life once. He hunted me day and night for poisoning his wolf. More wolves deserve to pay for what they had done.
