Over the weeks since Alcide had finally reunited with Moonglow, he had found it near to impossible to extricate himself from her company. As she attended to business he would shadow her, remaining out of sight but keeping a close eye on her. He was determined to never separate from her again. She was his everything, his reason for breathing. But the Crown of the Moon had set him a task, to travel to Glorall and represent her and her pack and seek an alliance with their leader, Weylin. Supposedly they were supposed to be a strong pack, and one that would certainly benefit Moonglow to have as an ally. Even though Moonglow had asked him specifically of this – and the company of one of his sons, Swallowbane, and two others, Zildjian and Whimper – he had found it hard to leave his love behind. What if something were to happen while he was gone and he was not there to protect her? But the reality of the matter was that she was a strong, independent woman who had cared for herself and their three children without him for three years. Certainly she could watch her own back for a day’s time while he travelled across the lands to Glorall. As he moved towards the borders, a call rose on the wind. Alcide’s scarred ears pricked, listening carefully to the tones that were an intermingling of Moonglow’s serenity and his own strength. He did not know his son yet, but he had every intention to change that. The boy seemed honorable and intelligent, which was no surprise being raised by one as bright as Moonglow. Lifting his great crown, he answered the call, his own song combining with his son’s to call forth the remaining two that were to join them on their mission. It also answered Swallowbane’s summons, telling him he was on his way. Lowering his head when the song had ceased, Alcide’s stride lengthened and his paws beat silently against the ground, carrying him at a smooth gallop along Spirane’s border until his darkest hued child came into view. He slowed then, jogging over to join the multi hued young man. Dipping his muzzle in greeting, the behemoth checked his gait back to a walk and then halted; his tail and crown aloft and his ears pricked to attention. “Swallowbane,” he deep tones rang forth, dark blue eyes resting upon the wolf before him. He should have been there to see him grow into the proud wolf he had become. The only greater regret he held was that he had not been there to protect Moonglow when the sky fell. A moment later he turned his gaze away from his son and watched the treeline, waiting for the final two of their party to join them. There would be a time for personal talks with his sons and daughter, but now was not that time. Hopefully within a short span of time Zildjian and Whimper would join them and they could be on their way.  |

Clayr - The Seer: Charged with the pack's health, and in teaching the Shiners and those who wish to pursue the art of healing. Kibeth - The Walker: The leader of the Guard. They are the foremost line of defense, charged with securing the borders and bringing pertinent information from within and without the pack to the appropriate wolf. They also lead the Outriders. Ranna - The Sleeper: Assists the queen in guarding from theft as well as advising her of news and gossip from the whole of Moladion. Charged with teaching the Mages about theft, secret keeping, and overall sneakiness. Allowed to make and block steals. Mosrael - The Waker: Caretaker and storyteller of the pack, also the head pupsitter. Often times this wolf will look after the pack's youth and educate them of Spirane and Moladion's history. Leads the Remembrancers in pup watching. Charter - The Power: The master hunter of the pack. Leads and organizes all hunts and teaches the Falconers the art of the hunt. The Classes Berserkers: Warriors and hunters of the pack. Falconers: The pack hunters Mages: Thieves and secret keepers of the pack. Allowed to make and block steals. Ambassadors: Diplomats of the pack. Shiners: Healers of the pack. Outriders: The pack scouts who bring all news of happenings across Moladion back. Remembrancers: Wolves of a kind nature who look after the younger wolves of the pack. These wolves may wish to learn more about healing, but this is not a requirement. Bairns: The young pups of the pack Amateurs: Youth of the pack still finding their place Kinfolk: The general populance of the pack Elders: Respected retirees who still offer wisdom and insight |
