Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

restless: i found your weakness

How long had it been since she had ventured from the land of shadows and mist? Too long, or perhaps not long enough. She had worked tirelessly to avoid the outside world - to avoid the corners in which Heyel and his filth would linger. Like a plague, they were, spreading and multiplying; come Spring, they would lure more into their silly game of Angels and Demons. They were safe in Iromar, they were untouchable. Had they dared cross her borders, they would no sooner find themselves at the floor of the swamps for the alligators. That was a perk of being Queen; utmost control and power. It had taken her almost half a season to recognise that the same power coursed through her even in the outside world - what did she have to fear? The scrawny runt of Heyel's lot? Or the brawny lot who would sink so easily in the uneasy grounds of Iromar? Fatality had always wanted an Angel of her own; come get her.

With her sense of importance renewed, she had drifted from the borders of Iromar with one thing in her mind; she needed more strength. She needed more minds to fuel the machine that was Iromar - she had the snapping, hungry jaws of even her own daughter but she craved more. She needed one whose jaws spoke words rather than spat venom; she needed one not so like the other lot. Thus, she sought far and wide from the Western grounds. It seemed she had all but exhausted her usual haunt - nobody of interest loitered, nobody but those marred with the foul stench of Diveen. Vague may have taken his leisure to such a place but she would not - not that day and not until it was as it should have been. Call her fussy or paranoid but why should she risk an encounter with the very creatures that had been so desperate to give her and her beloved pack a death sentence? They could seek and find her but she would not make it easy for them.

Along the outer rim she moved, perusing the land below for potential so rarely found. She'd always been biased towards the world of loners and such things had not changed; they were against nature, intolerable at the best of times and foolish to believe they would be capable of long term survival. At least she had started to recognise their necessity though she would have much preferred the others do the searching and gathering. Below her, though, there was movement - sudden and swift - something enough to catch her attention as she stopped mid stride. A flash of grey and white blurred across the field, taking a bird along with it before settling. For some time she merely observed, her body rigged and stiff in the same half-stride as she watched; female by appearances and scent alone, one who smelt so faintly of Moladion. A prime example of fresh blood it seemed - so new, so untainted by the world that was. Even Diveen had eluded the girl's scent which was a rarity in itself. Time to move.

Down the hillside she moved at a fast and easy jog. She approached from in front of the female to ensure she did not startle her though truly, it would hardly be considered a loss if the girl fled from fear or nervousness; Iromar had no place for either trait. Head lowered, her tail horizontal from her spine as a display of her rank - even out here, it was something she believed to be of importance. Despite Heyel's beliefs, she was no commoner and she would not act as such; this girl, on that note, was expected to respect such a thing. Some distance away she halted, ten or so feet stretching out between them as her gaze lingered over the girl's physique once more; she was strongly built, well balanced though larger than she. It was rare within Moladion to see a female of decent proportions; Ruvindra found them more often enough too large or too small and flimsy. With a subtle nod of acknowledgement and a flash of her own smile, she moved her gaze to the female's.

"Do not worry, I do not want your bird.

She motioned with her muzzle towards the kill, giving it hardly a second glance before she returned her utmost attention to the girl. Her head tilted in question, her expression forming into one of curiosity and yet there was always something a little... too sly about her smile. After all, she rarely approached without an agenda. The girl had a physique worth noting but there was, sadly, more to wolves than just that.

"My nose would have me believe you are new here; have I been fooled or am I correct in this assumption?"
