Romance is in the air...this is probably the most beautiful and scenic place in Blossom Forest. For the athletic and determined to come with their mates, for time away from pups. Only adults may come here; some of the ledges are too far apart for teens or pups to cross and some too high to scale.
In fact the past few weeks he had been more than happy, firstly he had met Mae and they had engaged in the activity of fishing. This had not been successful – although it had not surprised him - in fact he was preparing for a failure. He hadn’t at all been humiliated as Mae too had been rather inexperienced. Not only is that that Terrel had been found by Channing over many moons of searching for her. They had engaged themselves in a long and rather moving conversation. Then he had found himself wondering over to Staircase Falls and meeting up with Mae yet again. But the conversation began to a halt and now he found himself wondering towards Rainbow Cliff. Terrel stood and raised his head, having reached the cliff. It wasn’t as large as Misty Mountains although he had never climbed that but he was sure that Rainbow Cliff would be easier than the mountains. Hesitantly, a brown paw was lifted and another and another and another until his whole body was unsteadily on this boulder. His supporters trembled with partially excitement, partially fear – if he fell whilst higher up that was it… He was dead. Gulping he pulled himself from rock to rock, occasionally the odd one crumbled and left his hind legs dangling in mid-air. Terrel wasn’t the most adventurous of wolves, in fact he rarely left the pack grounds but that would all change and he was always looking for new and different things. The boy managed to climb until a flat ledge appeared – it was his lucky day. As he was about to sit his brown gazers noticed the fresh paw prints displaying proudly in the thin carpet of snow. His eyes creased as he pondered whether to follow or not. Curiosity got the better of him and the colourful young adult trailed after. He didn’t know who he was meeting; he didn’t think it really mattered. He was just glad that he was finding his own paws. And then he saw her, the adult female who sat exhausted half way up… Terrel observed her for a few moments; she didn’t seem someone who would snap out although his eyes could be deceiving. “Hello,” Terrel began cautiously. “I’m Terrel, may I ask of your name?” He walked slowly closer and sat on the far side of the slope. A smile displayed on his kissers, watching to seem as friendly as possible. He said no more for he wished not to test this female’s patience. And then he waited tolerantly.
