Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

She was an odd creature - more than capable of speech (intelligent speech at that) and yet she remained quiet for the most part. He did notice the change in her features though and he grinned, amused, at it; obviously she had let the words sunk in and she found something not so agreeable within them. The forced obedience, perhaps? The way she would forever be taking jobs and contracts from whoever decided to take her on as a Master? The poor thing - the Masters were atrocious. Heyel's age had been catching up to him; Ava was, from Tesseract understood, arrogant like her Master; Azrael was, well, Azrael and Malina was an arrogant thing too. They were each as pig headed as one another and, perhaps he was biased, the idea of studying beneath any and all of them repulsed him. Maybe it didn't repulse her so much but then again, what did she know? She knew the temptation of it but that was all. The reality was that, well, reality was seldom as good as others made it sound.

In all his earnest, he tried to make his reality sound exactly as it was.

"I have set them high, yes, but see - things are already in motion," he grinned, though his expression took a darker aura as he watched down at her, "And you are correct - there are risks. However, I dare say those risks will be made obsolete. Not only will you be trained, but you will be sworn protection by myself, and Caligula. A mutual agreement made between you and I; I protect, you shall learn and together, we will succeed. In time, you may either claim a rank of power or, if you so desire, I will give you a Kingdom of your choice."

Would Caligula protect the girl? And help train her? Perhaps he should have doubted that she would and yet he could not find it within himself to do so. They understood each other and in time, surely Caligula would realize the girl's worth and potential; they'd both become formidable to anybody who dare threaten them. And he would teach the girl the art of tracking, the art of theft and the art of using words to gain exactly what you wanted. To have her loyalty, as companion and business partner, she would become even more valuable; she would take rule, if she chose, and their alliance would be strong.

When she spoke next, he grinned even broader; to see the lands? A simple enough demand and one he would give into. Iromar was so very different to the other packs - it took a certain wolf to desire to live within the lands let alone survive. It offered all the perfect opportunity to be concealed by the mists, and the chance to perfect the art of moving silently and sure footed over the difficult terrain but it also offered its dangers; the swamps could drown and the alligators could devour. Perhaps the others feared the land so much for it was the embodiment of all things they could not control.

"Well then, would you like to go now?"

With that, he cocked his head and raised a brow before he stood promptly. With a quick shake of his pelt, he turned to face her and motioned forward in the direction of Iromar with his muzzle.

"And to answer your question - for the most part, your teaching shall be beneath myself. I will teach you to fight, to hunt, to track and to steal. Caligula shall teach you to crush your opposition and to move with absolute silence," and that was all she needed to know for the time being. Any more and she would become a threat to him; sensitive information, you see. With any luck, Caligula would meet them within Iromar and they could see one another's potential more greatly. Things were falling into place one puzzle piece at a time.
