The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

The air was cold, clouds hanging in the air with the threat of rain, causing the dark trees to cast shadows across the forest floor. If one was to look hard enough, they’d see the tiny figure of a bold pup making his way across the foliage between the trees. Tyson hadn’t been in Andere Seite for very long at all and since joining hadn’t seen any of the pack. His ears were perked forward, lip curled up a little in his usual angry look. He attempted to move confidently in strides he’d seen dangerous wolves use, but his too large paws tripped him a couple of times too much for the effect to work properly. The territory was large and he’d been exploring it, now lost with no idea where the parts of the land he’d seen before were. He wasn’t afraid, mentally scoffing at the thought that anything could frighten him, but slightly worried about where the other wolves were.

The young male had never been on his own before being separated from his mother. The time it took for him to reach the pack’s territory had been spent looking out for the lands he’d been instructed to find and wondering why he’d been told to find them. Now that he was here, his plan was to wait for his mother to find him. His stomach grumbled, reminding him that he hadn’t eaten in a while, but he glared down and snarled at it in response. A howling wind passed by, sending a shiver up his spine as his fur was pulled up. The fur didn’t completely fall back down, leaving him with a slightly fuzzy appearance. His sharp eyes, bright blue even in the dark part of the forest, were narrowed as he redirected his snarl to the wind.

Rustling leaves on a nearby shrub caught the pup’s attention and he froze, stub of a tail lifting dominantly as he watched the moving leaves in a trance. Suddenly he shifted his weight, jumping down into a crouch as he stalked the bush in slow movements. Once he was close enough his weight shifted again and he jumped forward into the bush with an open mouth. His maw closed around the leaf he was aiming for, but he hadn’t taken into account that he wouldn’t stop there. His small body propelled forward into the shrub, to any outsider making it look like the bush had swallowed the pup. On his back, legs splayed and tangled in the bark of the shrub, Tyson growled and snapped at all the leaves he could reach. He tore at the bush, struggling to right himself and only getting even more tangled. Finally he managed to push his way out, paws still swiping at nothing as he stood clear of the vegetation. His fur stuck up at odd angles, bits of twig and leaf entangled in it and he grumbled to himself, finally lowering his paws and looking around with no idea of where to head next.
