Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

live with no excuses, love with no regrets

It seemed the days passed endlessly without Weylin, no matter what she did to distract herself somehow her thoughts always circled back around to him. She wanted to go out and explore but felt the need to stay in Glorall and reside over it as the queen her husband had titled her. After all what kind of queen would she be to go off gallivanting around instead of being here defending her home? Which of course she did want to do, there was just so much out there to experience and learn that it seemed silly she would forever be holed up Glorall. Three other packs besides her were out there teeming with wolves unknown and she most definitely wanted them to be known to her. However the concept of packs and there etiquette was virtually unknown to her. She’d barely spent any time in one and even though she knew the basics about the hierarchy she wasn’t even sure what was within her power. Was she allowed to give out missions? Would Weylin let her go on missions?

Tawny colored legs, long and lean with powerful muscle, flex at the thought of the adventures that could await her out there. He would surely have to let her at least go visit the queens of both Spirane and Diveen. Maybe even perhaps Iromar – she was not afraid of the stories and rumors floating around, for all she knew they could be just that. But before she ran off and did any of that she wanted to talk to Weylin – she felt she had to talk to him first. So far she hadn’t really gotten too much of a chance to be alone with him - something she hoped happened soon if her happiness here was to remain intact. It really didn’t bode well with the obsidian marked girl to be named something so high ranking and not have a clue as to what she should be doing or was even allowed to do.

Golden ears tip forward at the sound of Weylins call and her long soft, fluffy golden tail swings behind her darker gold haunches with enthusiasm even though he can’t see her. Already on the mainland Selene had to simply alter her trail and swing back around to head towards her king – as she had been heading back to the island. Tipping her golden and black outlined muzzle to the sky Selene echoes her imprints howl as she make her way towards him eagerly. Scents of her pack mates begin to overlap as she draws closer to him led by his scent and the bond they shared – all of them were headed in the same direction. As she grows nearer her easy lope lessens into an easy stride that carries her into the clearing.

How a queen is supposed to act when the first pack meeting is called, she isn’t sure. Hell, until three minutes ago she hadn’t known Weylin intended this nor what he planned to say now. With some dismay she wonders if her title is more just a title than any rank at all – if she were equal to him wouldn’t she have at least known about this meeting? Drawing her courage she straightens her neck, holding herself to how she feels a queen would carry herself, and walks into the clearing hoping she at least looks somewhat queenly. Turquoise eyes flicker from face to face – lighting up each time they land on a familiar face – first Jaye, then Pan, and finally Weylin who causes the girl to beam. She walks over to the group taking a free spot besides Jaye. “Hello Jaye. It’s Selene we met a little bit ago, remember?” A friendly greeting is issued to Weylins grandmother as Selene studies the two young wolves sitting on the other side of her imprint, her mind wondering, were these the two she had heard Weylin had adopted? Yet another thing they hadn’t even been able to talk about, nor had she met the pups.

For some reason sadness slices through her. Shouldn’t she know everything about her imprint? Shouldn’t they be almost one? That was what she thought it was like. That’s what she had heard anyways – yet it seemed like there was so much involving him that she simply didn’t know and it was already fall – in two seasons she would have thought something might have been different. Pulling her eyes away - to circle the gathering once more - turquoise depths land on the other golden wolf present. “Pan!” She calls out happily before leaving Jaye’s side to wander over to the boy – the only other wolf she could say she actually knew – the one she had proclaimed her friend. He is talking with Weylins puppies and another young female of Glorall, one younger than even her. “Hi I’m Selene.” Her voice bubbles out a happy greeting to the girl and pups as her lips pull up in a grin and her soft blonde tail swishes behind her. Nervousness keeps her from greeting Weylin. What if she’d been a bad queen? What if that’s why he gave her no duties?
