just spent several minutes watching a chipmunk pop out of its hole (very evident in the neighbour's pristine yard), scoot about 2 feet and then scoot back; it did this several times radiating out in different directions
i've been told by a small mammal expert that male chipmunks leave their burrows at this time of year to "visit" the burrows of females; this one seemed to be having some trouble finding a scent to follow
this is my first chipmunk sighting of 2013 Replies: There have been no replies.
