Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Return to Lunar Children

Brother. Just one little word and yet it meant so much, especially to one such as Risk, who has spent the better part of his existence losing those close to himself. Perhaps it is a testament to his breeding and blood, or perhaps a silent salute to his Mother, Hazard, so beloved by the Judila Pack, to only Pack she had ever lived in, the one she had born her children too, lived in, protected, loved and died for in the end. Yet perhaps it was a reflection upon this fiercely loyal and often scatter-brained female that Risk simply accepts, that for so much loss, he grieves and moves on, never forgetting, no, but he still finds a reason to smile each day, to let go of any resentment or anger upon those no longer here and to allow that sadness to simply remind him of those moments he does not forget and never, never will he forget Hazard or his litter mates, Journey, Absinthe and Lancelot, never will he forget Liah and Mockingbird, or Warning, Danger and Misu, half siblings or those adopted, Niviaq and Faol’an, D’mani, Vulcan, Alyeska and Iskara. He has not forgotten Cobryn. He remembers, yet as always Risk keeps such things to himself to smile fondly on every now and then when he feels a little alone. Yet indeed he reminds himself also, that he survived, for whatever reason- he was given to live and this seeks only to empower the male even more, to remind himself that he must fulfil his goal and return to his position of warrior yet again. He had defend Paracon until the last- now he stands for Spirane- and for all those who cannot stand for themselves, just like Kavik.

Amber eyes widen slightly, unable to believe that perhaps he has found a sibling, that this one little boy had survived along with him, that maybe Niviaq lived still. As the dark boy nodded his head with assurance and obvious relief in his gaze, Risk allowed himself to smile softly, limbs stepping slightly shakily forward once more, unsure of exactly how to receive his long-lost brother when the dark boy simply leapt forward with wagging tail to plow into Risk’s broad chest, the snowy boy offering an almost startled look, after all, Risk had never had very much to do with children and really, children never seemed to like him, he was to....serious, yet for the moment he ignored such fears, muzzle reaching down to lick smooth the fur atop Kaviks head in a brief gesture of brotherly affection before he stepped back, amber eyes frowning slightly with worry. He knew well that his Brother could not answer him and yet he spoke all the same, at least offering Kavik the chance to nod.

“Are you....all alone?

He asked, unable to ask the full of his question, unwilling to know if Niviaq truly had perished in the flames and yet- if Kavik wandered alone then surely it was so- but what to do? Of course, honourable creature that Risk is, he has no intention of leaving his little brother alone and yet he is unsure of their reception. Was it correct of him to simply bring others home? Would Moonglow be displeased? From his own assessment the Alphess had seemed well-intentioned and good of nature and yet, Risk has learned to be wary and indeed, to follow the rules, he quite adores order and balance and lists of organisation and yet- the matter is simple enough in itself, he can’t leave his baby brother her can he? Not when he’s just found him again!

“Did you, well, I don’t know- want to come home with me? I have a den and a Pack and an imprint but...we can fit one more in.”

He smiled once more, slightly nervous before his sibling yet he was unsure exactly why. It had been a long time, Kavik had grown so much and indeed Risk simply felt- awkward. He was not quite a puppy and yet not quite grown and Risk hardly knows how to address him. He knows only that he loves him, missed him and that for Faol’an and Niviaq alone, Risk would guard him in return of a debt long since owed to his adoptive Father.
