At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

Kaidren smiled as the wind picked up, running through her white pelt. It felt so nice not to be stuck in that dark cave. The company of Niall and her pups seemed to keep her calm through it all. She had been walking with Niall and the pups to the falls. Now they'd have to face the boys. They already didn't like her, but they'd have to put up with her if they still couldn't bare her. She stopped at the banks of the slow, shallow creek.

Sabina looked around. His bright blue eyes were wide with pure wonder. He ran into the cold water. Everything seemed so beautiful and at peace.

Mindae was jumping with excitment. She bounded happily into the water, splashing away. The water tickled between her toes. She never knew there were so many different smells, tastes, sounds. It felt wonderful.
