Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

He returned the neck wrap, his own constricting around his father's. He closed his eyes, taking a moment to enjoy the affection before he retracted, placing a tentative space between them - how he would have enjoyed staying in that moment but there was far too much to do, too much to say. It was so strange the words coming from his father's mouth, words he had not heard for so many years. He grinned broad, tail swooping behind him as his head tilted.

"I love you too, father. You have always been with me even if you have not been beside me."

Perhaps the words could not repair any wounds that remained in his father's soul but it was the least he could do. After all, it was honest and he felt it was needed - after so long, he had accumulated so much that he had meant to say. It was time to get those words out; he'd been so fortunate to run into his father, as if his arrival within Moladion had been in perfect timing. He grinned even broader as his father attempted to take away his guilt - a slightly sheepish grin but it was there. It would take plenty of time for him to truly feel less guilt over his delayed return - years, perhaps, and it would be made no easier with his father's next words. Instantly his ears folded back over his skull, his tail drooping low behind him and head lowering slightly in guilt - they had been sad and even the information of his mother made his heart flutter in response. Had she forgotten them all? Had she been okay? His father was bruised and beaten - what of is mother? How had it happened? And discrimination? What had they to discriminate over unless losing children had somehow become a crime? That idea forced a frown from him, his brows furrowing and creasing in silent distress, his lips going tight for a moment in thought.

"What have they to discriminate over, father? And why is it you are injured? Has something happened?"

So many questions, his head tilting from left to right in query before the words sunk in. Had only been able to save Vidar? But what of Crystalarium? Or Ajax? What of Celesdue or his older siblings? Surely they had survived! They were each so strong... so brave, it would not make sense to him that they had no made it.

"You could not save the others? Myself... and Vidar... we are all that remains? What of Celesdue? Tesseract? Caligula? Surely..."

He composed himself, looking away for some moments as he tried to hold back the tidal wave of emotion that swelled within his chest. He had always hung onto the hope that they had all survived - that they had simply been separated but if Vague spoke the truth, it would mean his entire last three years would change. It was hard to listen but he forced his attention back to Vague, driving the thoughts of the others into the back of his mind as he forced his positive facade back onto his features once more. He remained with a smile, though weaker than before, but he seated himself, enjoying the feeling of home once more.

"You are doing great, I am sure of it. I am here now, and that means I am here to help - after all, helping you and mother is my birth right, right?" he chuckled lightly before his father questioned him. He sighed lightly, following through with another light laughter - where to begin?

"I have been traveling with nomads until now. They have taught me to survive; I have been... everywhere! When I heard that the others were returning to Moladion, I knew I had to come back - I had to come back and stay."
