Risk made sure not to move to quickly, not that is such a thing was a particular strain, his legs had never really been that long at all. Yet as a result, the heavy, snowy male had taken up the habit of jogging everywhere, as if to make up for his lack of stride and speed and truly it was a challenge to force himself to walk and allow his younger sibling to keep pace. The amber eyed male turned back constantly to ensure himself the little dark male followed, as if unwilling not to look at him for to long, as if he feared that Kavik would disappear from his life once more. He’d lived so long believing them all gone, his parents, his siblings, all of them and to find that one, just one had survived meant something truly important to the stocky male. Travelling at such a pace it took the two wolves well over half the day before they managed to reach the border of the mountain pack where the air grew colder and the snow thicker upon the ground, causing Risk to blend and Kavik to stand out all the more as he made his way upward and towards his home. It wasn’t the same as Paracon, in fact, Spirane was nothing like the ravine home he’d lived within for so many years and yet- maybe that was for the better. There were many things he simply didn’t wish to remember and didn’t it was easier to move on, to forget, if he was away from a life that seemed as if it belonged so entirely to another. Devil and Kiska had retired, his family was gone, Paracon no longer existed and indeed, while Diveen still called to him, the male is determined to make a life anew. He had served Paracon and Devil for years, he had done all he could, risen as high as he could and it was time to move on, to give his services to another. He sighed softly as the mountain rose before him, pausing as he reached the border line, waiting for Kavik to join him.

“ Come on, you don’t need to wait here, your with me, we will find Moonglow ourselves, she is usually near the centre this time of day.”

He spoke easily, calmly, lips pulling into a steady grin as he waited Kavik’s reply before walking onwards once more, plunging deeper and deeper into the pack land with the coal black boy behind him, leaving trails in the snow. He shook the flakes from his pelt, ducking low beneath a sapling tree before making his way into the centre of the land, the meeting grounds, the trees above having kept much of the snow of the earth here, leaving the bare patch of rock that lined the entrance to so many caves as Risk seated himself diligently before the one he knew to be Moonglow’s. Amber gaze peered into the dark, attempting to spot her form. She had been spending rather a lot of time in the caves of late, with Alcide close by and while of course Risk would never mention such a thing (as he is entirely sure he knows why the mated pair retreat together) he cannot help but wonder indeed if it had worked. Having never partaken of such an activity himself he cannot claim to understand it fully and yet he is inclined to wonder how appropriate it is to bother a possibly pregnant wolfess or indeed, if she attempts had failed, was it truly acceptable to flaunt a puppy in front of her. Honestly he is unsure of the social conventions of such a thing, yet remains seated where he is to ponder the topic. Either way, Kavik is his brother and he will not allow his brother to wander the world alone, stealing for a living. No, Risk is his guardian now.

“Moonglow? Are you in? It’s Risk.”

He called into the gloom of the cave, shifting his weight slightly, amber gaze looking down easily at his sibling once mored before his attention returned to the cave, waiting.
