Misty Mountain is opposite of Rainbow Cliff. Mists hover year-round at this high altitude, mistaken by some to be thin clouds. Thin layers of snow cover the mountain, making some areas slippery and hazardous.

Some think it romantic, a place to bring their mates, while others come to play and romp. However, all must agree that there is some level of mystery and spookiness hovering about with the mists...

How lonely is the night without the howl of the wolf?
IP: 94.170.199.94

Even though the lad hadn’t meant to be funny or cheer the lass up, he had done it ever so well. She realised now just how perfect he was for her, even if silence did sometimes get the better of him. His maw parted to answer her question, his tongue licking the sides of his lips reassuringly. ‘Aye, my Lady.’ The words echoed round her ears just as they had done the first time the title had slipped through his jaws. Channing smiled happily, although it was still a small smile it was full of emotion just as usual. ‘The only thing that is hurt is my pride.’ The lass returned the nuzzle before whispering gently and teasingly in the lads ear, “I will not tell anyone, unless you give me reason too.” She giggled before continuing up the slope.

The next few minutes consisted of reassuring words and explanations, each stating that the other had no reason to apologise. Henadin’s words were wise and truthful and in all honesty made the situation better. He made things clear for the ess in her time of need and made her realise that nature had intended the meeting to go so badly, maybe there would be a lighter consequence and the three would live happily. The lass looked at the brute as his next words entered her auds: ‘My love, my heart… there is nothing for you to apologize for. You are his mother, his whole life. I expected him to be upset. His rudeness did not injure me, but how it pained your heart did indeed injure me.’ How could he be so understanding? Terrel had appalling behaviour towards him yet he was so caring and forgiving. How could Terrel not see the wolf he was?

After the whimper she accidently let escape, the lad nuzzled her, pulling her closer to him in order to embrace her better. This silent creature was so loving and caring and Channing was lucky enough to peel back the layers to discover it. She listened carefully to his next question as the subject of Terrel was brought up again. ‘But know this, I will do whatever it takes so that Terrel will accept us. You are my life now, my heart and my soul are yours. I will love Terrel as my own should he allow me to do so.’ The timber hued ess gazed at her mate lovingly, he was the only brute to have ever showed her his much affection and he was hers... Forever and Always! She licked his muzzle tenderly, thanking him for being so understanding and for well... Just being him.

The lass realised that she really needed to answer the lad’s question. There was no point stalling what was going to happen anyway. “I think it would be best if I spoke to him alone. There are some things I will need to say that he might take better if it is just him and myself, thank you for not putting pressure on me and Terrel.” With his next question the lass looked down, unsure of how much to tell him. She didn’t know as much as she wished but would it make things worse if she told Henadin? “He hasn’t always been very clear with what has happened, all I know is that he hates brutes. The hate came from his father. He abused his mother when he was a pup and that’s all I know really. I found him alone and abandoned at Staircase Falls when I adopted him.” She stopped looking out towards the terra once again.
