Many wolves looking for relaxation come to Blossom Field. A gentle breeze vibrating the blossoming flowers is quite a sight to see and it is quite a favourite for wolves to come with their mates.

A recent fire has ruined the scenery, half the field covered with soot and marked with scars of the flames. The other half is untouched, however.

Darklight peered around the field staring at the blossoms. How could so many colors fit into one place on earth that was so small? A petal landed onto her paw, almost as light blue as the sky. She smiled, careful not to show a dagger or canine. She looked up as Gen started to speak. “I lived here when I was younger. I had...left for a while but now I am back. I am looking for my brother.” A brother. Very interesting reason to come back to Blossom Forest. Darklight thought about her family, but as hard as she tried, she couldn’t think of any memories. Such a pity. Had she been away from her family so long that she didn’t remember them? My goodness, that would be quite a sad fate.

There was a moment of silence before Gen asked exactly about what Darklight was thinking. Where was her family? “I only remember a sister when I was little. She was quite nice, I remember. My mother disappeared one day, and she helped me through it. I don’t remember anything else...” It would have been nice if she had found her sister. When she wandered away from her pack, she guessed maybe one day her sister went out to find her? Perhaps one day she would see her again.

She looked up when Gen spoke again, making a follow-up on Darklight’s comment. A blessing? Of course it wasn’t a blessing when she wandered away and lived as a loner for about a year. She analyzed what she had said earlier: I have been here maybe a week or two. I was a loner and had wandered from my pack lands until I fell here. Quite a blessing, really> Oh! Gen had thought she had said wandered away from her pack was a blessing. Darklight spread a full smile on her maw. “Oh, I meant that finding this place when I was about to starve to death was a blessing. Sorry that that was a mix-up.” She smiled brightly, and almost laughed a bit.

Darklight was glad she had asked that question. If it was the other way around, she would have found it hard to speak her mind. Another breeze lapped up against the pair sitting under the tree, and Darklight found it easier to try and speak. “I bet you had a lot of friends when you first came here. Do you still remember any that are still here?” It was good to always start a conversation comfortably, and Darklight made sure that her vocals would not quit on her and that the two could talk for a long time. Perhaps they would become friends after they shared their most prized stories.
